ASHTON

Time stood still.

It only took 30 seconds for Michael to run out the door in pure fury, and I had learned in the past not to get in his way when he was angry. I knew he would text me later.

But Luke, he looked in pain. His pure white face was frozen in the same expression it was in when Jordans words first came out. I couldnt believe that had just happened.

Michael was gone, and I had no idea what to say. But I didnt even get a chance to, because he stood calmly and walked very very quickly upstairs. I followed close behind but not close enough, the bathroom door was shut and locked before I could even try to fight it open.

This wasnt good, I know that Michael's shaving blades are in there. I keep telling him to hide them but he keeps forgetting to. and now it might be too late.

I called Michael several times in between pounding on the door for Luke to let me in. He didnt, I didnt expect him to.

"Luke please," I sighed, sliding down the other side of the door. "I know what its like to sit there and feel like theres no other option. What she said was not true. Do you wanna throw that all away just because she said so?"

No reply.

"Let me in. I wont let Michael in and I wont stop you, its okay. Just trust me. Okay?" I said, emotion full in my voice because I felt incredibly sorry for this kid right now.

To my surprise, I felt the door click open and I crawled into the room, closing the door and locking it behind me. I found Luke on the other side of the room curled up in a ball.

I sat opposite him, maybe 2 metres away.

His hands were trembling as he brought his arm out, dropping an already bloody blade on the floor, letting it make an echoing clattering sound. Damn this kid didnt waste any time.

"It's alright Luke." I said quietly.

He shook his head and quickly wiped tears before they could fully leave his eyes.

"It is. You're gonna be alright." I smiled sympathetically.

I caught a glimpse of his arm, it was alright. Barely dripping. So he didnt need any immediate medical attention. Just a hug.

So I scooted closer. "Want a hug?"

It took a while for a response but he nodded slightly, letting me envelop him in my arms. This was our first hug,and what a time to do it.

"You'll be alright kid." I mumbled and just held him while a few tears trickled out silently. He must have nothing left to cry.

It was about an hour later when I helped Luke up off the floor and downstairs, grabbing him a blanket and letting him stick on whatever he wanted on tv.

Where was Michael??
