Please Stay (Part 2) [michaeng]

Mina glances over the clock above the TV, gasping when she found out it's 1.30 am. It's so late already, and yet, her lover Son Chaeyoung isn't home yet.

"Where are you, sweetheart?" She never come home this late. Mina understands that she's working so hard to make money for them, to make Mina happy. But no. Mina isn't happy at all with this. Chaeyoung is way more important, no - she's the most important one, the one she needs the most. She doesn't care at all about money, moreover when Chaeyoung acts like this - abandons her for the sake of earning money.

Mina couldn't wait any longer. She fastly takes her coat from the gallows, wears it as fast as she can, and then scurries to the front door. She's going to pick Chaeyoung up.

She closes her apartment door and dismounts the stairs. She only needs 2 minutes to go from the 5th floor to the 1st floor. Yeah, the power of love is indeed unbeatable.

Mina is about to push their apartment building's door when she catches something. She sees Chaeyoung through the glass door, out there, with someone. No, it's not Sana of course. Chaeyoung left that gross bitch already. She's different, Mina never saw her before. Mina absentmindedly hides herself behind a pillar near them.

Chaeyoung and that girl are talking for about a minute more. Mina couldn't hear anything from her place, but from what she sees, Chaeyoung looks so happy talking with her. It makes her heart twitches.

Who's that, Chaeng?

A minute passed, Chaeyoung finished talking with her and Mina's still hiding behind that pillar. Mina doesn't do anything when Chaeyoung farewells to the girl. The girl smiles widely, and then gets inside her car and drives away.

Mina sees Chaeyoung follows the car with her eyes until it's finally gone in the bend. Chaeyoung halts in there for few seconds, and then she starts walking towards the front door. When she's close enough with the pillar, Mina shows herself. Chaeyoung ceases.

"Mina?" Chaeyoung gasps, in shock from seeing her lover in front of her at this time. "What are you doing here?" Her voice is calm and composed.

Mina watches the latter wordlessly. Her mind is chaos, crowded, filled with questions.

Who's that girl?! Why she dropped you home?! Why you look so close with her? Why was she smiling like crazy when you said bye? Why?! Why?! Why?!

Mina swallows thickly. Her throat is stuck with something hard. She can't talk, she can't ask, she can't let out anything. While Chaeyoung is still staring at her silently, she looks tired.

Who's that girl, Chaeng?

Mina wants to be angry, to be mad. Chaeyoung made her worried for coming home this late, and yet, she came home with someone else. Mina really wants to be upset, to tell Chaeyoung that she's jealous, that she doesn't like the view she just saw a few minutes ago. But again, she can't talk.

So, instead of yelling to Chaeyoung, Mina scurries towards Chaeyoung, draws her close and embraces her tightly. She buries her face onto the crock of Chaeyoung's neck, whispering, "welcome home."

Chaeyoung is confused for a beat, but still gives a delay reply, wraps her arms around Mina's body and smells Mina's scent, which is obviously her most favorite scent. "I'm home."

They ascend the stairs with Mina hugging Chaeyoung's arm, head leaning on Chaeyoung's shoulder, doesn't even care that the position is a bit uncomfortable for them at the moment. While Chaeyoung is smiling endlessly, couldn't even hide her happiness that Mina welcomed her downstairs.
