Chapter 5 - The kiss

I wake up to be in a comfortable big bed. My body hurts I my head throbs. Suddenly I start to remember everything that happened yesterday and I realized someone was sitting next to me playing with my hair.
"Aghhh get off me please don't hurt me Ron" I say pushing the person of me.
"Hey shhh it's ok it's me Draco not Ron" he says in a calming voice. "Oh" I say "where is he is he gone" I say scurrying back to Draco incase Ron would get me again.
"Calm down he is gone you are safe now" I hear him say. His voice makes me relax a little. I turn to face him after I am calm and say to him
"where did you go in the morning you just left me without saying anything".
"Oh I went to McGonagal to get the password for the heads dorm. Then after I was going to come back to you but when I got there you where gone" he replys.
"Oh ok" I say finally getting the answer.

We just sit in silence until I say "thank you Draco for saving me from that pig face Ron". Draco chuckles
"it's ok Hermione" he replys.
"Thank you again" I say leaning on his shoulder.
"Hmm" he says back. After five minutes I look at him and say "what did you do with Ron by the way".
"Oh when I saw him trying to hurt you I got my wand out and stupified him then I punched him several times in the face. Then I took him to the hospital wing put him outside the door then knocked on it and ran away. Then I bought you here to the heads dorm and waited until you woke up" he said. I smiled at him and whispered "thank you".

I wake up in the morning and yawn as my eyes adjust to the brightness. I am so glad today is a Friday because I would not have wanted to go to lessons. I look over to see Draco sleeping on the floor, I smile at how peaceful he looks. I told him to sleep on the floor next to me because I was scared Ron would come in my room at night.

*1 hour later*
I am in the kitchen eating my cereal with Draco.
"What do I do today Draco, I don't want to go anywhere and I want someone to stay with me and keep me company". I say looking sad.
"Hmmmm I know where we can go" he say a smirk on his face.
"Where" I ask curious.
"Well I can't tell you because it is a suprise" he says.
"Ok well when shall we go" I say.
"How about now" he laughs and grabbes my wrist and leads me outside to the pitch.
"Why are we at the pitch" I say.
"You will see, we are going to go for a little ride" he says as he goes to get his broom.
"Oh no I can't ride I am terrified of hights, I just no i-" I say stepping away.
"Oh come on Hermione we aren't going to go that high we are just going to hover over the ground" he says demonstrating how high we will go.
"Ummmm ok I guess, just don't kill me" I say sitting on the broom and wrapping my hands around his waist really tight.
"Jeez Granger not so tight other wise I will die and you will have to fly on your own" he says.
"Oh sorry it's just I have never been on a broom before" I say loosening my arms a bit.
"Ready" he says.
"I guess so" I reply back shutting my eyes. He did exactly what he said and just hovered over the ground around the pitch.
"You can open your eyes you know we are not even in the air" he says. Then mumbled "yet". I open my eyes
"its so beautiful" I say.
"Trust me this is nothing compared to where I am going to take you". He says .
"What do you mean-" but before I could finish my sentance Draco takes of really high in the air.
"Malfoyyyyy get me down now" I scream terrified. After 5 minutes of flying he says
"It's ok we are here now you can open your eyes".

I open my eyes slowly and gasp at the sight Infront of me. There is a buetiful lake with a meadow full of flowers.
"It's wonderful" I say to Draco who gets of the broom and helps me down.
"I know I found this out in 4 year" he said.
We both sit down and just absorb the beauty with the sun shining down on us. I break the silence by saying
"thank you Draco this means allot to me".
"Your welcome" he says back.
"You know I might consider us as friends"I say.
"Yh me to"
he replys.
Tears suddenly start to prick my eyes and fall down my Cheeks .
I see Draco come closer to me.
"Hermione what's wrong, why are you crying" he says wiping my tears away.
"I-" before I can finish my sentance I burst into tears.
"Hey it's ok everything is fine please don't cry". He says letting me cry in his shoulder.
After five minutes of crying I calm down and look at Draco.
"I'm sorry" I say.
"It's ok, tell me what's wrong" he says in a soothing voice.
"Nobody likes me anymore I have tried to be with someone but they all just throw me away like I am dirt on there shoe, why do I even try to be with someone, I am useless and not worth it" I say tears falling down my cheeks.
"Your wrong Hermione, you are definitely not useless and you are definitely worth it" he says.
"Really to whom am I worth it Draco, tell me" I say staring at him.
"To me" he whispers looking at the ground.
All I can do is just stare at him until I say "and what makes you say that".
"Your kind, funny, amazing and buetiful" he says looking at me. He comes closer to me and puts his hand on my face and gently tilts it so I am facing him.
"Hermione I have had feeling for you since third year when you punched me. From then on I knew that you were different from all the other girls. I was afraid to tell you that I really liked you because of my parents and the dark lord. If they found out that I liked you they would of killed you Hermione and never would I let that happen in my entire life. So the only way I could protect you was by being mean to you. Now that Voldemort is gone I can say this. I really like you Hermione and I would do anything to be with you".
I look into his grey eyes before our faces start to come closer. Our lips are just one centimetre away.
"I really like you hermione" he says.
"And I really like you to Draco" I say.
Then our lips touch and its like the entire world has disappeared and it's just me and him. Nothing else mattered right now in that moment. We pull back gasping for air our foreheads still touching.
After 5 minutes I say "we should probably get back now it's already dark".
"Yh let's go" he says standing up and getting on the broom helping me up.

I lie down on my bed in the heads dorm with a big smile on my face. All I could think about was how I mixed saliva with Draco Malfoy. That was the last thought in my mind before I drifted of into a sleep full of good dreams.
