Curiosity Killed An Angel

Someone once told me that "No one can be successful with out other people around them. An artist can't be artist with out people to see their work, and businessman cant be businessmen with out people with out people to do business with." But some times I wish I could just be alone.

The lunch bell had just rug and I was walking toward my locker and a saw a boy, run around the corner. When I opened my locker there was a brown paper bag and a sticky note I pulled them out and read the the sticky note, it read.

"Dear Katie

You forgot your lunch again. I would of give it to you in person but like always the office thinks I'm a "suspicious figure" so I have to put it your locker again. But really, your the one who makes all our the lunches. You could at least remember to take yours. I hope your having a good time at school. Or at least a bearable time. We do get worried about you. Even if you deny, we are a family"

Your favorite guardian, James"

I smiled crumbled up the paper and tossed it back into my locker and walk into the lunch room. The tables were small at my school maybe like eight people tables. Some were square others were circles. I walked around a lot of tables and sat at a empty rectangular table next to a window. I opened my lunch bag and grabbed a plum, my favorite food. And looked out the window up at the clouds.

"Is that the girl that daydreams all day and has like, perfect grades?" A boy said form a table close by.

"Yeah that's her." They were not aware that I could clearly hear their every word.

"She's kinda cute." The boy smirked.

"Bad move dude, the people she lives with are like really well known gangsters or something, and it's obvious just by looking at 'em. So you dump her they'll dump on you."

"Shame." The boys changed the subject.

"I hate people. Just yelling out thing like that." I thought to myself. Another group started to stare.

"Ugh! She's still here? I thought that with her being a loner and all she would of left already."

"Um Mia, Shes like one of the most popular girls in school. Everyone talks about her."

"How did she even get here?" Mia said in jealousy. If only she knew. I'm not from earth. I'm an angel, and a god, and, well... a demon to. Lets just start from the beginning. I was God's 6 year old daughter. The other angels would always tell us NEVER to go out the gate's. My father especially. He always telling me not to go. But that just made me suspicious. So I investigated. But when I asked him he would just pretend he didn't hear me. That just made me more curious. My curiousness started to eat away all the rest of my thoughts until that was the only thing I could think about. So I sneaked out when the guards weren't looking, I slipped through the gates. I couldn't believe I hadn't noticed it before, but there was a HUGE forest out side the gates. So I went to take a look. There was giant leaves I had to keep moving out of my way so I could keep walking. Not only were they big but they were wet to, I had thought that it had rained. But then I had sworn I heard a noise so I called out to see if anyone was there. No reply, so I kept walking.

I had been walking for a good minute or two. And I stepped on a snake or something. I jumped off as soon as I realized. When I looked to see was it was, nothing was there. Then I tripped over something else. But again nothing was there. I started to get scared so I started to kinda jog back the way I came. I started to here many voices start to whisper loudly. I heard a branches snap, but it wasn't me. I started to run faster. The whispers turned to laughter. I was bolting, now knowing people were following me. I started to cry. The snapping started to get closer. I saw the gate and ran as fast as I could to get to it. A dark cloud started to surround me. I tried to fan it away with my hand. It didn't do any good. I felt like I was loosing control over my body. One of the guards saw me.

"DEMON'S!!" He shouted.

"Who is that?!?!" Someone else shouted. Screams were heard form all over. When I reached the gate The demons prevented me from sliding through the bars. There was a crowd around the gate, but a distance away for the gate so they weren't infected to. I banged on the gate yelling for my father to save me. He pushed through the crowd. He displayed such disappointment and sadness on his face. I shouted again for him to save me. But there was nothing he could do he was to late, the demons had almost all ready taken over my body. Once my body was completely taken over the other demons would go for the angel on the inside of the gate. So my father did the only thing he could do. So he banished his six year old little girl to earth so survive on her own.

Before I knew it I was in a place I didn't recognize the clothes I was wearing or where I was. It was some sort of dark hall outside. The demons had disappeared with out me realizing what had happened I just thought it was a dream. When I sat up I saw three scary looking boys I've never seen before.

"Are you alright?" The tallest one asked. He waved and smiled toward me. He was the scariest one of the three. I tried to stand but I was to weak so I sat back down. And tried to dust of the little white dress I was wearing.

"Hello?" The youngest one asked. He was around nine years old at the time. When I replied they looked confused.

"Do you speak English?" The one in the middle asked. To them, I just sounded like I was speaking nonsense. But I could understand them perfectly.

"I'm James." The oldest one said, sounding like he was talking to a baby. He pointed at a around 11 years old boy with black hair.

"This is Ethan, and the one on the end is Jordan" James smiled. They weren't very scary anymore.

"Are you lost?" Ethan asked. I nodded yes, knowing they wouldn't understand me if I talked.

"Do you have any parents we could look for?" James asked as he walked over to me and tried to help me stand. Then I remembered everything that happened and I started to cry, really loud and my tears came out like a waterfall.

"I'll take that as a no." Ethan said quietly to James.

"Are we gonna take her in?" Jordan asked James.

"There's no way he could raise two boys and a girl! Does he even know how, and do we have enough money? NO!" Ethan answered himself. James picked me up, walked passed Ethan before he pass him he flicked him on the forehead.

"We can figure something out." James was really calm. And he comforted me enough to calm my crying to sniffling and hiccuping. James carried me all the way to his house. When we got there he laid me on the couch with a blanket to sleep.
