Secret Identity

background info— nobody's POV:
Peter Parker's name isn't actually Peter Parker, nor was he born in New York. His name is actually Tom Holland and he was born in England. When Tom was 8 years old, his parents had made a serum which can give somebody spider like abilities but they made it to where it only fused correctly with their DNA which made Norman Osborn very mad because he wanted to use it for himself irresponsibly. Tom Holland's parents knew that they where all in danger, especially helpless 8 year old Tom Holland. His parents planned to have Tom move to New York with May Parker and Ben Parker who was Toms aunt and uncle but Norman Osborn and his team captured Tom quickly and killed his parents. They injected the serum into Tom and for years they trained him and tortured him. Tom Holland was like Oscops secret weapon. When Peter was 13 he escaped. He doesn't exactly remember how because it happened so fast but he escaped but he wasn't safe. He went to the police station not saying mentioning anything to the police and called his aunt May and uncle Ben who picked up. It was very emotional because they thought he was dead but they flew him to New York. Tom had to hide his identity so his aunt and uncle legally changed his name to "Peter Parker" and claimed that he was with them from the beginning. At the age of 14 he became what the world called him, "Spider-man." He did this because a few months ago, his uncle died in his arms and Peter felt broken. He became spider-man so he could try and prevent death as much as possible since he had been around it all his life and didn't want anybody else feeling that way if he could prevent that. He meet the avengers accidentally when he joined a mission with the avengers uninvited. He was 14 years old and he was out on patrol when he saw in the distance the avengers battling aliens which he helped them with, well more so killed all the aliens because he was really fast. After that he popped up on missions and would go back to the tower to bandage up. He never showered his identity because he didn't trust anybody but his aunt but he did kinda befriended the avengers. Peter is a sweet, loving, selfless, shy boy. He only speaks in his English accent around his aunt but uses a fake but perfect American accent in public. (I'm sorry that this is harsh, i love Peter so much I promise 😭.)

Now— nobody's POV:
"Hey aunt May, I'm going out for a bit! Love you!" Peter said as he skipped out of his room to the front door with his backpack on. He was going over to the avengers tower and he was excited. He loved the avengers even though they annoyed him a lot with who he was behind the mask. He walked further into New York towards the avengers tower and went into an alley to put on his suit. He than put his civilian clothes into his backpack and started webbing his way to the tower.

"Tony this is ridiculous! He's been popping up on missions for almost a year and we still don't know his identity!" Clint said in the living room full of avengers.
"I know, I want to know as much as you do!" Tony said.
"Why haven't a group of superheroes or an agent company not know who Spider-man is" Sam said.
"We don't know anything about him that's why" Nat said playing with a knife.
"We can kinda guess things about him" Steve said.
"We know that he has an IQ higher than 270 because he is smarter than Tony and I" Bruce said.
"He's around the age 30" Steve said.
"And how do you know that" Natasha sassed.
"You see the way he acts. We go to him for comfort and what not so he is obviously experienced if he can comfort hero's that have also seen a lot." Steve finished.
"Also he is the most powerful one here" Tony said.
"But he also makes a lot of jokes and can act like a kid" Sam said just than FRIDAY spoke.
"Spider-man has entered the tower" and moments later the elevator dinged.
"Hey guys!" Spider-man said excitedly.
"What's up spidey" Clint said and they fist bumped. "What's everybody doing?" Spider-man asked.
"We were just actually talking about you" Tony said with a smirk.
"Oh really, and what about?" Spider man asked.
"We were just saying things that we know— well think we know about you" Thor said.
"And what are these things you 'know' about me" Spider-man asked.
"Well, we think you are about 30... and that's kinda it" Steve said.
"Well... is it because of my great looks" Peter said as he stroked a pose in his spider-man suit.
"Well actually it's because you are way smarter than Bruce and I do you have to be at least 30 because you will already have your education and what not and also because your so like... wise" Tony said with a laugh. It was true, Peter was wise because even though he was 15, he has kinda seen it all. He's seen death, he knows what it's like to have it hard, he has a job and responsibilities. But he's also experienced things that others haven't ever before either such as watching your parents being murdered, being injected with a serum he didn't want that gave him unnatural powers, tortured for years, being a weapon, and having to hide your real self from the world. Oh and also being a super human which weren't super common.
"Ya..." Peter said and looked down remembering all of his tragedies.
"Spider-man?" Clint asked which snapped Peter out of his thoughts.
"Ya?"
"Who... who are you?" Clint asked.
"I can't tell you who I am" Peter said calmly. Usually he joked around when he was asked but he thought that maybe he should be serious and give the message to them.
"Why not?" Tony asked.
"Because nobody knows who I really am. Nobody even knows who I am when I'm an everyday civilian" Spider-man said referring to that he is really Tom Holland who is known as Peter Parker.
"huh?" Thor asked not understanding.
"It's hard to explain without giving it away"
"Than tell us, you can trust us" Steve said.
"but I can't, I cant trust anybody. Especially people as known as you guys and who associate with a big company like S.H.I.E.L.D who works for the government." Spider-man said not making any contact with anybody. He just looked down at his hands.
"Whatever you say or show will stay in this room" Tony said.
"You guys don't understand, I can't even tell you my name because it's not even my name" Spider-man said tearing up but nobody saw because of his mask.
"We're your team please tell us, we promise we won't tell anybody" Tony said who was Spider-man's favorite. Spider-man did trust them he just didn't want to but he needed to learn to eventually so he let his emotions take over.
"When I was 8, Norman Osborn murdered my parents in front of me because they made a serum which would only work properly on me because it was my DNA. He took me to his laboratory when he injected it into me which gave me these spider like abilities." Spider man said and he lifted his hands closer to his face and he looked at them. The avengers kinda just listened trying not to react too much.
"Than for almost 5 years he kept me there and he tortured me, ran experiments on me, and used me as a weapon. He did his best to brain wash me but I tried to not let him. When I was 13 I finally escaped, I don't remember how. It was so fast but I ran to the police station and called my aunt and uncle who lives here in New York. I moved in with them and changed my name so Osborn can't find me."
He than went to reach for his mask than stopped than grabbed the top. He still wasn't making any eye contact with the avengers.
"People here know me as Peter Parker" Spider-man said then ripped off his mask but keeping his head down so all they could see was the top of his head full of curly brown curls.
"But my name is Tom Holland, i'm 15, I'm from England, a-and i'm spider-man" He said in his English accent than looked up with his eyes closed than open them to looked at the avengers. They all had tears in their eyes and some where covering their mouths.
"uh-I" Tony tried saying something but he didn't know what to say. Peter kinda just looked at them all hoping that somebody would say something.
"Your so young" Bucky said, he was gonna cry. A winter soldier was gonna cry.
"Ya, I-I know" Peter said. He wanted to cry so bad but he didn't because he didn't want to appear weak so he held back his tears and let his bottom lip quiver.
"It's ok" Tony said. He saw that the boy wanted to cry so Tony went over to Peter, sat next to him, than put his arms around Peter. It was totally not something Tony would do, he surprised himself a little but he was happy he did it because than the boy cried on Tony's shoulder onto his expensive suit but Tony didn't care at all, didn't even pass his mind. They all circled around him and put a warm touch on him showing that it was ok not to be ok.
"Sorry" Peter said sniffing and wiping his face, it wasn't like Peter to do that.
"No no, your fine. I didn't mind" Tony said with a smile.
"I wish you could have told us sooner Tom" Bruce said. It was weird hearing somebody call him 'Tom' besides his aunt so he winced a little.
"Sorry I-" Bruce began but was cut off.
"No, I.. I like it" Peter said than looked up at Bruce and gave a weak smile.
"I'm just scared to tell anybody because I-I don't wanna go back. The things that they did to me or made me do, I don't wanna go back" Peter said and sniffled. He felt a tear going down his cheek and he wiped it.
"We won't let them" Thor and Steve said and the rest nod.
"It was just awful" Peter said and buried his face into his hands.
"What did they do?" Clint asked and Natasha elbowed him for asking but Peter still answered.
"They experimented in me, seeing how my body would react in certain ways. But what they did the most was torture me, torture me till I'm almost dead. And only because he was mad that my parents made this serum that could have helped him but it wasn't for him" Peter said. He took his suit and he peeled it off his torso to show them the scars. On his bicep it said "Orcorp 456" which was the most noticeable one. After a moment he put back on his shirt.
"Kid, your gonna be ok now... I promise." Tony said.
"thank you" Tom Holland said with a smile.
"who you think that his brown hair and bright eyes is cute enough, he has a British accent!" Natasha said like a mom.
