Grumbo Oneshots

Grain the redstone engineer

Grian and Mumbo have been working on an automatic farm for the past few days, but they simply can't get it right. They were starting to get desperate when their latest test, out of hundreds of other tests, didn't work at all. They've tried everything!

"This. is. impossible" Mumbo sighed, breaking a few blocks from the last test. Grian simply hummed in response, already losing hope on their build. Mumbo sat down on the floor under a tree, looking at the farm in search for the problem. He couldn't see a single thing wrong with his and Grian's creation. It should have worked! Grian sat down next to Mumbo, sighing in the farm's direction.

"Is this even worth it?" Grian said, tilting his head towards Mumbo. Mumbo just looked at him sadly.

"I mean, we've put so much effort into this, for what? It's hardly going to work ever" Grian said in a frustrated manner. Him and Mumbo have never had this sort of problem before. They frankly weren't enjoying this new experience.

"You got a point, but think of the diamonds" Mumbo smiled weakly, trying to lift the mood. This farm was supposed to produce things they could sell at Sahara, something that was bound to interest the other players. If only they could get it to work...

Mumbo stood up and walked up to the build, walking around it, observing it carefully, trying his best to find the issue. After a couple minutes, Grian sighed and decided to help Mumbo. Grian walked around the whole thing, until he noticed something. A flaw in their redstone! Turns out some of the observers weren't facing the right way and there was a single redstone missing from the build.

"Mumbo I think I found the issue here!" Grian shouted excitedly.

"What??" "Come over here, look!"

Mumbo ran over to where Grian had been standing, immediatly he noticed the simple mistakes. 

"GRIAN YOU FIGURED IT OUT!" Mumbo hugged Grian tightly, laughing.

Grian felt a blush creep up his ears, hugging Mumbo back happily. 

"Oh I could almost kiss you!!" Mumbo exclaimed, while letting go of Grian. Grian looked at him dumbfounded. Mumbo's face was flushed a deep red as he realised what he had just said. They stared at eachother for a few seconds.

"....You could?" Grian asked shyly, breaking the silence.

"Uh..........yes?" Mumbo said the last part quietly, almost in as a squeak.

Grian took a step towards Mumbo, who did the same until the were a few centimetres away  from eachother. Mumbo was quite a bit taller than Grian so Grian had to go on his tippy toes to reach Mumbos face. Everything seemed to have happened in slow motion as Mumbo put his hands on Grians waist and Grian put his hands on his arms. They leaned in, they lips just about touching, the heat from they're faces radiating on eachother. Finally Mumbo closed the gap. 

They felt fireworks as they kissed. Both forgetting the world around them as they touched lips. They're bodies felt hot, from they're toes to they're fingertips but they didn't care. Until they had to pull away for some air. They smiled at eachother in awe. Grian giggled, making Mumbo chuckle, this was something they both wanted to do for so long. Cant believe it took this long.

They felt happy.
