8 - Pittoo

"Pit... please hurry." I whispered on the verge of tears. Why the heck was I crying? I'm not sure. Maybe cause I'm alone, injured, scared... helpless.

I'm only slowing Pit down. Why am I even here if I can't fly properly. I'm loosing all hope in surviving. They won't want me to work with them again after this!

Maybe if I can find a fruit or something. Some food would be nice. And bandages. I stumbled on down one of the three trails. The trail wasn't very long, it led to a little clearing on a cliff with a chest to the right. "Let's see... ugh!" My leg gave out and I stumbled just before reaching the chest, knocking the wind out of my lungs.

Using my bruised and bloody arms, I lifted my self up to the chest opening the lid. Out came an apple? That's it?! What was I even expecting... not this that's for sure.

I ate the apple as fast as I could before limping very slowly back up to the fountain. Maybe I can find more things on the other paths?

I had lost I don't even know how much blood and I was starting to get dizzy. I have to hurry. I walked down another trail that led to a wall. I went around the wall to find a hole in the ground. Phhttt! Like I'm going to be able to get down there! I smiled a bit but my idiot self slipped on the edge and took a rough fall into the hole. I landed with a loud thud and my ears were ringing.

I was badly winded again and was seeing double from the fall and loss of blood. I stood up trying to recover but fell back down. I looked down to see blood splatters from my wings and leg.

"I have to ke- arg!-ep going!" I stood up and walked around the dark room. It was full of pillars but there was another hallway in the back.

Walking through, there was a bright blue circle on the floor. Confused I walked over to it. I put a foot on it and was surrounded by light. I closed my eyes shut and tensed my muscles.

Moments later, I was in a dim lit room; the only light was a bright blue path leading to a chest. I slowly limped up and opened it.

Two orbitars poped out and flew into my hands. The first word that came to mind was 'Gemini'... guess I'll call them that? Gemini Orbitars. I aimed to the wall; bending over as I didn't have the strength to stand properly; and shot at the wall. I fell over from the force of the weapon but was satisfied I could protect myself.

I waddled back out and the portal teleported me out of the hole, "Thank you..." I whispered to what ever that was since I barely had the strength to talk.

I could feel the life draining from me as the blood in my wounds was still flowing out. How in the world was I not dead yet?! I made it back out to the fountain yet again but this time I was met by a black blur of feathers.

"Dark... Pit?"

"Why are you here." He looked at me with a glare but that soon changed to wide eyes as soon as he saw what condition I was in.

"What happened to you. Did the little bird fall from the sky?" He teased.

"No I tripped on a rock. Of course I fell from the sky- ARG!" I bent over in pain as I coughed up blood and fell to my knees. My lungs burned and I could feel numbness taking over my hands and feet.

By the time I looked up again, Dark Pit was gone. Thanks for nothing. Although, there were two apples sitting in front of me. Before I could grab them, I was met with a big bear hug by Pit.

"We found you (y/n)!" I grunted in pain and fell to the ground, "Oh no! Palutena she really needs help!" He said to the sky. Then he place my laurel on my head.

"Here." I heard Palutena say. A pink drink in a fancy bottle appeared out of thin air, "drink it fast. We have to stop Pittoo. I can only make these ever so often so be careful." Pit took off the lid and handed it to me.
