Knock Knock

Abigail pushed past Jace and headed straight for Kyler on the stairs. "Ky, you are living here? You knew Jace was here and you didn't tell me?" She shouted. I'm sorry, she had to come and disrupt people at this hour to yell at her brother. Isn't that why we have phones?
Kyler had the same thought because he questioned her as well, "you came here at two in the morning to yell at me for living with my best friend? Could this not have waited till morning?"
"Actually I came to yell at this cheating whore, to tell her to keep her hands off my boyfriend" she spat at glaring at me.
"You're dating Lexi's ex?" Jace chimed in.
"Great to know you also think of me as a cheating whore," I directed at Jace. "While you're here screwing every female you come in contact with."
"Hey, that's not fair, Alexis" Jace responded softly.
Hayley came out of her room to see what all the shouting was about. "Ky, what's going on? Wait- aren't you Noah's girlfriend?" She asked catching on to everything. "And who are you?" She asked the girl on the couch. The girl smiled shyly, grabbing her clothes off the floor and heading to the kitchen.
"I'll call you later," the random girl said before leaving the room.
"Yes, I am Noah's girlfriend, to which this skank needs to remember that she no longer is," answered Abigail. What was with all the name calling from this girl? You kiss a girls boyfriend once, weeks ago, and now she goes all kickass on you.
"And like you have any right to say anything, the way you broke Jace's heart!" Hayley spat back, standing up for me.
"This has gotten way out of hand, everyone needs to calm down" Jace said trying to relieve the tension in the room. "Abby, I didn't know you were even here not to mention with a boyfriend."
"Don't soften up to her!" Hayley shouted. "Lex and Noah belong together. Not this bitch!"
She was all fired up now. I'm not sure I have ever seen her this angry. Jace looked at Hayley hurt.
"Hales, don't call my sister that," Kyler warned. "You need to calm down." That was the first time I had also seen Kyler serious towards Hayley. He's been so warm to her up until this point.
"What? Like you like her all of a sudden? She cheated on your best friend," she explained.
"She's still my sister. And what like Alexis is any different? She cheated on Noah and with his brother no less!" Kyler shot back.
Jace decided to intervene before it got any worse. "The conversation seems to be a little heated right now. Why doesn't everyone just go back to bed."
"You told him?" I looked at Jace in disbelief. I told him that in confidence and he went and told Kyler, who just told the whole room, including Noah's girlfriend. Well wait until she gets to tell him this. I stormed off to my room but not long before Hayley and Kyler stormed off to their respective rooms. I think it's safe to say that tonight will be the first time in a long time that each of our rooms are full.

"Abby, are you okay?" I could over hear Jace and Abigail talk in the living room. The front door shut.
"Am I okay? Your roommate kissed my boyfriend!" She shouted. She seems to not have cooled off any.
"It doesn't feel so good to be cheated on does it?" He asked her although I think it was meant to be rhetorical.
"Jay, I'm sorry. I'm sorry if I ever hurt you and caused you pain. I was in a weird place at the time and trying to figure myself out and my feelings for my ex at the time. I never meant to cause you pain," she sounded almost sincere but then she continued. "I loved you so much and seeing you tonight brings back so many feelings. I've missed you. I've missed us. I wanted to call you and I must have tried dozens of time." She was now sobbing. Was she being sincere or just trying to make Jace feel bad for her.
"I can see how much you missed me. By the way what's your new boyfriends name?" But yay for me because Jace did not seem to be buying it.
"I did miss you, I still do. It's just, I met Noah and he's a great guy, so I thought. I was so happy with him. There was no drama, no history. If I went back to you, then there would have been all this history. You wouldn't have been able to trust me ever again. You were so sweet and naive. You were my little brothers best friend. But then that girl- that whore said you have been sleeping with lots of girls. That's not you, Jay."
"Hey, don't call her that," Jace's tone changed and he said it softly. "I know you don't like her because she kissed your boyfriend but I don't call you a whore because you fucked around on me."
"Jay I was just confused by feelings for my ex-" but Jace didn't let her finish her lie.
"So you had to screw every guy on the swim team?" He spat back but then he changed his attitude again. "I'm sorry, that was uncalled for."
You could hear her begin crying again. "No you're right, I'm just as bad as the bitch upstairs." I was really getting tired of being called all these names.
"Abigail, stop calling her names. She's not a bag person," he said to her as if he were talking to a child. He was telling her in a soft voice to be kind to me. Was this the real Jace? Was he truly not a jerk, but instead a sensitive guy? Nah.
The crying stopped. "Wait-" she said between sniffles. "Are you two a thing?"
There was silence for what felt like forever. Obviously we're not a thing, there was a half naked girl on the couch when she came in and the screaming match began. Not to mention the endless rotation of naked women in this condo.
"Oh, Jace, you love her don't you?" She said with pity. "How long have you two been together?"
"We are not together. We are not a thing. And I do not love her." He said very short and straight to the point. I felt a twinge of hurt in my heart.
"I love you, Jace Reyna." That was unexpected. There was no sounding coming from downstairs. Is that all it took? What about Noah? I opened my door as quietly as I could and crawled to the banister to look downstairs. They weren't doing anything but sitting on the couch and holding hands. She had tears running down her face. Was this all sincere?
"Wh-wha-what?" He stumbled over his words staring at her with what looked like disbelief.
"I do. Even when I was being stupid and sleeping around. You were the only one in my heart. Not even Noah. I've missed you so much and seeing you today maybe me realize what a huge mistake I made. With everything. You were the only thing I have ever done in my life and I wish I could take it all back but it can't. We were great together until I messed it all up. I want to be with you again," she begged before leaning in to kiss him. What's even more shocking is he didn't push her away. He grabbed her head and pulled her closer. Her hands moved to his pants and that's when I knew I couldn't watch this any more. I crawled back to my room but before I shut the door I heard him talk again.
"Abby, it's late. This was a lot to take in and I think that I should think this all over. Let me walk you home."
