She sighed, placing the empty glass on the counter. "You know that I hate you, right?"

My eyes shifted to the dark corner of the bar. "Yeah, but you're good at what you do. I wouldn't come here, willing to bare my neck to you if this wasn't important."

Scoffing, she twist her body. Ready to leave at any given moment.

"Amy.... Listen, I need you. This-" I paused. I glanced at the corner again. "This is bigger than the both of us. Bigger than we've ever faced before."

Finally she faced me. It almost floored me. Her eyes has always been my weakness. I was so absorbed into those bluey depth, that I almost didn't notice the sharpness of them. She was staring into me. Trying to find some sort of bullshit in my words. They were none. I was serious about how dire this situation is. I guess when she backed away, she saw it.

With another sigh, she poured herself one more glass. This time nearly to the top. "Okay, so what's the plan."
