Hi. :)
Guess who's back. 😉 I know I've been gone for a hot minute. But, your girl needs some R & R. She's been sick, seen life and she's well rested. 💁 I know you've been wondering, "hey, Jessie when is the new chapter of Lovely & Wickedly? I already seen your update on the cover, like girl, when will it be ready." I know. I know. However, *dramatic sigh* you have to wait a little longer. I'm a perfectionist. This mess needs some fixing. I'm not taking about me. Ok, maybe a little. 😂 But, still, it would be ready soon. Until then, here's a new opening line prompt:I don't remember much. Not really. I remember in the last two years. But the days, weeks, months - years before, nothing. As I try to recall further, dark mist lay thick and heavy. Soon pain ensues. I couldn't remember anything. Until last week.
A man.
But, it wasn't the memory of him watching above me scared me nor was it when I recalled the excruciating pain and the taste of metal.
No, oddly enough.
It was his eyes.
Eyes that spoke of wild nights, danger and sorrow.
Yeah, that was it.
It was sorrow that scared me. It did more than scare me. It terrified me.
