"Fingernails the size of a half grain of rice
And eyelids closed to be soon opened wide
A small bump, in four months you'll open your eyes"---

when minho's eyes fluttered open he was immediately met with the sweet smell of pancakes along with a cold presence where changbin was supposed to lay. groaning slightly at the sliver of light that hit his eyes. shifting on the bed for a few moments minho stopped with a huff staring at the ceiling with his thoughts racing.
sighing minho stood up and started fixing his hair while walking towards the kitchen. arriving at the much colder place minho was met with changbin who seemed better than yesterday. a smile was on his face while he hummed along with the music that played in the distance.
there was something about the way that changbin looked today that made minho fall more in love with him than yesterday. "you have a glow around you, " minho spoke his voice a bit raspy. minho earned a nod as a response changbin still standing there unfazed at minho's presence while he placed the newly cooked pancakes onto a separate plate.
finally finishing moving the food changbin turned around and responded. "i don't know i just woke up and felt weird but a good type of weird?" minho softly laughed at the way changbin seemed to question his words.
he leaned against the door frame simply admiring the other from far. it wasn't until changbin finished setting up the table and seemed satisfied with his work that he moved to sit in front of him.
minho watched with intent eyes as changbin didn't waste a second to stuff his mouth full of pancakes that he made. a moan of satisfaction slipping past his lips at the flavor he tasted and how overall it was so good. "woah," changbin whispered continuing to stuff his breakfast into his mouth while minho did the same at a much slower pace.
it was always known to everyone that changbin hated his own cooking. it wasn't that he couldn't cook if his life depended on it no because minho knew his boyfriend could cook one damn good meal if he needed to. instead, it was the fear that something didn't come out properly. changbin loved food but whenever he was the one to cook it, it never satisfied his tastebuds.
which is why he always resorted in begging minho to cook for him (although sometimes he did it for himself). yet today the moment his tongue touched the soft texture of the pancake he seemed to melt with it. every taste seemed better and to the both of them, it was weird.
but minho loved weird. however, for changbin he couldn't comprehend the situation. this change in himself didn't settle well and immediately he sat up straight, eyebrows furrowing as he cocked his head to the side trying to grasp on his change. "something is wrong with me, " changbin answered once he finished chewing and swallowed the last bite of his pancake. "i never liked my cooking that much," he added on.
minho let out a slight laugh at how curious and confused changbin seemed to be. changbin lifted up his head with a sheepish smile decorating his face while he asked, "still too late to go to the doctors?" minho shook his head.
that was another thing about changbin. he hated the doctors. despised them. which is why he didn't agree to the offer at first because, for the most part, he took care of himself. always made sure he did because he didn't want to go back to that spine chilling place. "we'll go once we're finished. i'm just gonna enjoy this moment while it lasts."changbin exhaled at minho's words and nodded his head before resuming to eating his food.
oh but this was just the start.
