"And you can lie with me
With your tiny feet"---

"so you're telling me, y'all fucked once and you got pregnant?" hyunjin voice weighed heavily with confusion while disbelief covered his face entirely. his mind was racing, trying to process all of the news that was thrown onto him because he had only been gone for over a month and everything had changed. from changbin finally losing his last ounce of innocence to learning that there was to be a new baby coming into a home that was always chaotic and never quiet was a lot to process. he couldn't help but wonder if the two were hiding anything else from him.
if so, he blamed the fact that he had to go abroad for a month for a school project he had to do. coming back from his thoughts he watched as changbin nodded his head, minho's hands resting on his shoulders while they waited for him to react to anything. but the only thing he could possibly say was, "what the fuck?" after those words slipped out he sat there frozen for a moment his mouth opening constantly in an attempt to force out words any other words while changbin and minho continued to be patient with him.
after a few minutes, all hyunjin could do was let out only a long drawn out huff. "i honestly give up with you two, "hyunjin said running a hand through his hair as minho laughed, squeezing changbin's shoulders lightly before walking away.
hyunjin waited until minho was out of sight before he turned to look at changbin. reaching forward he took changbin's hand and asked, "how have you dealt with all this?" maybe hyunjin had been gone for quite a while and tended to forget things but he always tried to redeem himself by making sure everyone was okay even if he had to hide his own feelings with it. he knew everything about changbin's past life. he knew about the fears his best friend held inside of him even if he tried to hold it all inside.
"it's something new i guess. i mean this whole thing is scary really," changbin answered as he caressed hyunjin's hand with the pad of his thumb. hyunjin could see how terrified the older was about this. the trauma from when he was a kid all hitting him at once because changbin feared a repeat of his own story all over again. changbin hadn't really talked about what he thought or how he actually felt about the baby. "i'm just worried i'll end up like my parents. unprepared and quitters before the challenge even starts," he sighed out.
changbin's parents weren't the best and there was nothing that could possibly make him say that they cared the slightest for him. they were kids when they had him and were scared of what they could do with a baby. his other family resented him for that. his aunts and uncles pushing him away and teaching his cousins to despise him as well all because he was "the reason" his parents were as stressed with shitty jobs and barely any money.
his parents made no time for him either and always seemed to try and stay out of the house. changbin was raised by his friends and their parents. his parents tossed him to the side and didn't care about him. they drowned in the opinions of others and gave up before ever getting to know changbin.
hyunjin nodded his head, listening closely to changbin's worries knowing that was the least he could possibly do. "i don't know. i mean i have minho with me but why do i feel as though something is wrong? that things are just off?" changbin's brows furrowed together, his free hand subconsciously resting onto his stomach and hyunjin only hummed.
"have you talked with him? like really sat down and talked with him?" hyunjin questioned, his eyes holding concern and nothing but pure warmth that changbin felt comfortable enough to let his walls down. tugging his bottom lip between his teeth changbin shook his head.
"we've just been going through each day as though they were never here."
hyunjin let out a small smile before continuing on," maybe that's what you need." changbin nodded his head. they continued talking to each other about anything that their minds brought up, waiting for minho to come back. however, the two hadn't really heard the footsteps that had approached them moments ago and that the person that heard it all.
but the topic was never addressed, as minho took it in his own hands to make things better for them and use what he had heard as his little push.
