Chapter 18: Make You Truly Suffer

"People of Paris, I will destroy everything in this city and there is nothing you can do. I already have your precious ladybug" he said, gesturing toward the obviously hurt Marinette. "So now there's no one left to protect you. Hawkmoth was never evil enough to get what he wanted, but my new leader, The Butterflila, will not hesitate to have me finish Ladybug off, if any one of you fights back. Actually, I'm going to finish her off no matter what" the most evil wide grin spread across his face. "After she watches Paris burn in my fury! Look out, everything will be destroyed."

"Wait wait wait....everything?! I don't want you to destroy EVERYTHING. I just want revenge on Marinette" said the voice inside the evil cats head. She didn't really know how these powers worked and thought she would be in complete control once she akumatized someone. She never expected it to go this far, that would be bad. If there was nothing left in Paris but hurt people and a torn city, that would be boring. There would be no one to brag to and lie to and no one to treat her like she's famous. She had to make sure that Adrien did no more than get revenge on Marinette and maybe Luka if he insists, but not all of Paris.

"you can't just hurt everybody Chat Blanc, I only want you to make Marinette suffer, not the whole city," she said a little uneasy, not knowing if he would listen.

"But, Butterflila, this IS how we make her suffer. she doesn't care about herself and her own suffering, she cares about the people. If I hurt people while she can only sit and watch, that would be more suffering than anything else for her. " he replied firmly, with determination to fulfill his "plan."

"NO!" she replied back trying to convince him out of it. "Don't hurt the people like that. If you want her to suffer, just hurt her dumb snake boyfriend. That'll show her. "

Marinette could hear the conversation because chat had lowered a few floors below the Eiffel tower onto the floor he was holding Marinette captive. He was standing just a couple feet away, so Marinette heard it all. The thought that people would be hurt and she couldn't do anything was breaking Marinette inside, this was the worst of the worst.

"Fine, I'll just do that....for now..." He said with an evil grin, and Butterflila could tell she shouldn't trust him, but there was no turning back at this point. "But I'll have to search around and find him first -"

"I'm right here" said a voice in the distance.

"Now, you let Marinette go and I won't have to fight you."

"That's a shame, because fighting YOU is all I want to do right now " and with that Chat Blanc charged toward viperoin. 

They raced toward each other at their highest pace, but before Viperoin could land a blow, Chat Blanc punched him hard right in the ribs, and sent him in the air 20 yards away. The evil cat started running toward him again, but he was interrupted by the damsel in distress.

"Luka!" Marinette screamed, but it sounded weak considering how difficult it was for her to breathe. "Please! If you wanna to hurt me, then hurt me! But don't hurt anyone else!"

Chat only let out a chuckle, and began slowly walking toward her so she could hear. "Don't you see darling? This isn't just about you. In order to hurt you, I must make you watch others suffer. Nothing hurts you more than being vulnerable while those you care for are in physical pain. I would know, I was a superhero too, I felt the same way. I know how it feels to be a superhero, and I know how it feels to be a vulnerable superhero. I know how it feels to give up everything just for the one you love, and then not even getting that love in the end. You on the other hand, don't know how that feels. So now I'll show you how it feels to not get your love in the end."

"If you know how it feels then you know this is wrong! This isn't you Adrien! "

"Don't call me that!"

"The real Adrien understands pain, isolation, loneliness, and hate, but he makes sure that no one else feels it, because he knows how horrible it is and doesn't want anyone else suffering. I'm starting to doubt that the real Adrien is still even under there, please prove me wrong. Show me you're still a hero, show me you're still Adrien"

There was a moment of silence.

"Fine." He finally said. "Then I guess I'm not "still Adrien" "

And he ran toward Luka, grabbed him by the neck, and held him high. "You're going to regret ever trying to fight me" he whispered to the scared hero. And threw him with full force to the ground knocking him unconscious, although he appeared he may have been dead.

"Now...." He said looking down at Lukas body, then looking up at the large crowd gathered around him. "Now to finish the rest of you"

Now even Lila was scared, this wasn't going to go as she planned.
