Tom Keller, the sheriff, pulled up. He had received a call from a serpent claiming someone did something bad. Archie Andrews was sitting down in tears. Tom was confused as to what was happening. The serpents explained to the sheriff everything.
He wasn't sure what to believe. That didn't sound like Archie. Tom Keller approached Archie. "Come on son," he said as he pulled Archie up. Archie held his arms out so that he would get handcuffed.
Sheriff Keller didn't do it though. He just signaled Archie walk towards his car. Everyone glared at him. "Betty, do you need a ride?" Betty looked around at everyone and nodded.
They didn't like her. She didn't really care, she was just going to use them for her benefit. Because that is how the world works in her eyes. You are either used or you are the one to use people. She ran after Archie.
"I need witnesses to come down to the station. We need it for record and the evidence. No one is allowed near the burnt trailers. We will investigate everything." Everyone nodded and some went outside.
They got on their motorcycles and rode into the night. Tom felt weird, the serpents were known for being criminals. Most had crime records so it was weird to see them on the other side. To see them as the "victims". He had know elder Topaz.
Toni's grandfather was a great man. Tom knew that he had taken in Veronica. He had helped him with the papers and Kevin would talking about Veronica's hard life. Nevertheless, it was still weird to see it. It always had the police called on them.
Not the other way around. He wasn't sure if he believed them. Nevertheless, he kept quiet and continued his job.

The Next DayVeronica woke up. She walked towards the kitchen. Jughead, Toni, and Cheryl were there. She ignored them and brewed some coffee. The three looked at each other.
They weren't sure how to engage. Finally, Jughead spoke up. "We need to talk about your feelings." Veronica scoffed, she didn't want to talk about all of it. "I am perfectly fine."
"Really because you don't seem fine." Veronica ignored the comment and continued to make coffee by adding the cream and sugar to the brewed coffee. "It's ok to feel hurt. Your ex-boyfriend killed your adoptive grandfather." Veronica sharply turned around and stared at them.
More like death glared. They were all trying to counsel her. "And what about Toni? How do you feel?" Cheryl and Jughead looked at Toni.
"What do my feelings have to do with anything?" "Because if my feelings are being concerned, so should yours." "The situation is different with my TT." Cheryl had to defend her girlfriend but she had to admit she was also concerned about her. "How so?"
Veronica was getting frustrated. Jughead got up and moved towards her. He rested his hands on her arms. "We don't want to lose you." She saw the sincerity in his eyes.
Only God knows why but she started breaking down in his arms. "Shh, it's ok. I got you. Let it out." Cheryl and Toni joined in the hug.
They needed to show support. They didn't want a crisis. Last time something really bad happened she shut everyone out and it wasn't pretty. She was heartless. It wasn't until jughead got hurt did she snap out of it.
"He has to pay for what he did." "He is already in the sheriff's office." "Good." The four continued hugging and crying.

Later that dayThe serpents were waiting. They were all gathered around the tv in the whyte wyrm. They were waiting for the news. To feel the joy for Archie being behind the bars for killing Topaz. Alice Cooper was someone they hated but she was telling everything about the case.
So, they watched. On-screen you could see Archie walking out of the sheriff's office. The serpents got angry. He was let out. "What the hell happened?!"
As in response, Alice moved towards Tom. "Can we know the details? How Archie was found innocent." "I can't go into details but there wasn't enough evidence." Alice moved away.
"We all know he is sugar-coating what we are all thinking. The Southside Serpents are criminals. It was their word against Archie Andrews. Serpents are just trying to expand this war." Bystanders looked angry.
They were angry Archie, their angel, was there in the first place. The serpents were angrier. "What the fuck?!" What kind of justice is this?!" "This is all Andrews fault!"
"Let's pay him a visit!" The serpents moved towards the door. They were determined to make their own justice. Veronica whistled very loudly. "Not so fast."
"What?!" "I want to be the first one to punch him in the face." Everyone cheered as the carried her out. Toni, Cheryl, and Jughead looked at each other. Was that a good plan?
As everyone made their way to Archie's they noticed the crowd of northsiders there. Reggie stepped up. "We were expecting you greasy serpents." Veronica popped out from the crowd of serpents. The bulldogs reached out for her.
"It's time to finally choose sides Veronica. No more I have northside boyfriend and southside best friend. It's us or them." Reggie stepped closer. "Choose wisely because you will not be able to go back."
Veronica stepped closer to him. "Easy I choose the serpents." Reggie scoffed. "Of course you have always been the Serpent King's girl. Probably in more than a friend way."
He circled around her. "You have always been a slut." Veronica didn't hesitate to punch him in the nose. He fell to the ground. "Don't ever assume my life or call me a slut ever again."
Archie was in his house but he noticed something going on. He ran out and to the first of the crowd. "Archie!" All of the serpents when for him but we're held back. "I'm sorry i didn't mean to."
Everyone was shocked. He admitted to it.
