chapter 4: idiotic boyfriend

Veronica walked towards the front. People made a path for her. She ran towards her boyfriend but stopped. She saw Jughead standing there about to hit him. "Torombolo?"

She stepped closer to him. "What's going on here?" Jughead turned towards Veronica. His body relaxed. Her presences, her voice, her aura easily calmed him.

The serpents knew that. Everyone with a brain and eyes knew that. That was why they wanted her to be the Serpent Queen. She helped him grow as a person. They were like yin and yang.

He snapped out of it and his anger at Archie was very noticeable. It resurfaced. He pointed at Archie, an expression of pure anger was displayed on his face. "Your idiotic, selfish, privileged boyfriend," Jughead spattered in disgust. Everyone growled and inched forward.

All the serpents thought he was an idiot. They didn't see why she liked Archie. Nevertheless, she was happy and that was what they wanted. So they semi-accepted him. Until today.

Today was the last straw. Jughead turned his head to look at Archie. Everyone glared at him as well. He was an idiot, no one there liked him. Well except Betty and Veronica.

Archie felt nervous. "He must pay for his crimes," Knuckles scream. "Waterboard him," Tigress scream. "Cut his legs off and make him crawl to Greendale," Lighting scream. "Burn him alive."

Betty looked at them in horror. "Quiet down." The room fell silent and they all glared. They all looked like they could kill. He struggled against Fangs and Sweetpea.

"Let go of me." Veronica tried to move forward but Jughead just blocked her way. "Torombolo move out of my way." "I can't do that, I would do it." Betty rushed towards the front.

Towards him in panic. People didn't let her through. Cheryl and Toni sat on the edge of the stage. Both looked shocked and Toni looked like she was about to cry. Veronica stood in disbelief.

"What happened?" What could he possibly have done to anger them? Why did he do it? To make Jughead not want her to be near him. Alot of questions were running through her head.

"Well this less attractive redhead decided to vandalize our walls, burn some of the trailers, and he was threatening some with a gun. He's an idiot. Also, did I mention he is an idiot?" Veronica and Betty gasped in disbelief. "Fact, he should be punished for his crimes."

"Not like he killed anyone," Betty said. They all stared at her in disbelief. "Did this bitch really say that?" "Language, nightshade." "Geez sorry for stating facts."

Veronica felt her mouth dry. "Did he kill anyone?" She swallowed hard, hoping the answer was no. Everyone was mad at Betty. They were screaming.

"Actually he did." The crowd got angered. Veronica's heart sank. "Who did he--who did he kill?" Veronica's voice was shaking.

Jughead hugged her and Archie glared. Veronica accepted the hug. The room fell quiet. They all looked down. "My grandpa," Toni let out in a very unstable voice.

Toni's sobs were echoing through the room. Cheryl hugged her and whispered positive things into her ear. Archie looked shocked. He didn't know he killed someone. They all looked at her.

This was the first time she had cried. They all felt a large amount of pain transmitting through her voice. Veronica looked at Archie with hurt eyes. Toni's grandfather is one who she lived with during the hard times. She saw him as a grandpa, Archie knew that.

Veronica felt her heart brake. She looked at Toni. Tears formed in her eyes. Her head snapped towards Archie. "Why would you do that Archie?"

Archie looked at her, he couldn't stand seeing her like that. It also hurt to hear her call him Archie. She only did it when she was super upset. It hurt him to know he caused Veronica pain. "How could you?"

"Babe," he started but was interrupted. "Don't call me that, you lost that privilege." "Give me another chance." "The minute I told you I would do anything for the serpents, was the minute you should have realized that I don't wish them harm. Why would you burn down trailers?"

"I don't know I was angry." "There could have been people in there. There was someone in one." "I swear to you, I didn't mean to hurt anyone." Veronica rolled her eyes and scoffed.

"Really? You didn't mean to hurt anyone?" "Yes, I would never purposefully hurt someone." "Then why do you have a gun with you?" "I swear to you that it was for defense purposes only."

All the emotions hit her. She felt her legs weaken and she held onto Jughead. He tightened his grip around her to support her. She sobbed into his chest. He slowly went to the ground and he pulled her on his lap.

Her sobs grew faster and her breath grew shorter. He rubbed her back. "It's ok princess, you will be fine." Archie struggled again Sweetpea and Fangs. He should be the one consoling her, not Jughead.

She caught her breath and steadied it. "Say the words and we will deal with him," Chains said. "No, take him to the sheriff." "What?!" Veronica got up.

"You guys are better than him. Take him so that justice is brought upon him." Archie looked at her hurt. "Forgive me?" "You really are an idiot if you think I will ever forgive you."

Sweetpea and Fangs threw him on the ground. He tried to rush to her but Jughead pushed him back. "He was the only grandpa figure I had." "Babe, please." "We are over Archibald."

He fell to his knees. He started to cry and Betty ran towards him. He pushed her away harshly and she ran back towards him. "Betty you are stupid too. Notice your self-worth."

Veronica glared at Archie. "You shouldn't follow him around like a lost puppy." The sound of police sirens was heard. Veronica wiped her tears away and she walked away. "You made a terrible mistake Andrews."

Jughead rushed after Veronica. "Oh no," Cheryl and Toni ran after her too. "You should be grateful we all love and respect Veronica. You would be toast if not."
