CHAPTER ONE; Doctor Gray

( Run boy run, part one )

ELARA always knew how to take care of her self, both mentally and physically. After becoming an assassin for seven years since she was thirteen, there wasn't a wound that she couldn't heal—from world war two to the JFK assassination, from nightmares mixed with jet-lag, she was more than numb at that point. When she finally had enough of all the shit that the commission put her through, the only thing that she was left to do ( instead of killing people ) was healing them.

"which playlist in here? " Marlee asked Elara—who was in the middle of preforming surgery to a woman that was shot in the head. "anything good," Elara replied stalely as she proceeded removing the bullets and putting them on a tray. The assistant rolled her eyes and played the first one that she saw, the one that had all the rock music. Some song by Nirvana started playing and Elara responded with "nice."

After another hour one, two hours, Elara was finally aloud to go home, she left the hospital and headed to the parking lot with rock music blasting in her earbuds. When she arrived to her car (which she was very happy it wasn't constantly covered with gunshots ), unlocked it with her key and got in.

The drive back to home was better with all the music playing in the back. The supply box that the commission gave her always had a mask, a list, but she was always happy to see the walkman that had her mixtape that had DO NOT TOUCH written on it in sharpie letters ( nobody did ever dare to touch the thing), music had helped her through all the killing and the nightmares, it was the only thing that kept her off drugs for a long time. But in case things get too much ( even ) for her, she had a selection of joints and cigarettes sitting in a cupboard that hasn't been opened for years. She never predicted that today would be the day that she'd open that cupboard.

"ARE you sure this is the right address?" Klaus asked his brother who was looking at a crumpled piece of paper. "I know it is, otherwise she'd be dead," Five had gotten a tad bit too aggressive about finding the fifteen year old that he met in the middle of the seventies. If his equations were right and she actually became a surgeon then, this was the only place that could possibly be her address. Klaus rubbed his eyes and yawned, "let's just get this over with." He rang the doorbell and a woman opened it a few seconds later. Klaus didn't get to have a good look on her but, Five recognized her as quick as she was about to say something. "Shit" Klaus heard her mutter under her breath, "it's you."

She welcomed them in her apartment—(which looked cozier than they had expected)—with a coffee for Five and a cigarette for her and Klaus.

"So, Doctor Gray now huh?" Five sipped his coffee. Elara scoffed, "thirteen now huh?" She lit her cigarette and passed the lighter to Klaus. "What exactly do you want?" She queried as Klaus put the burning stick in his mouth and took a good look at the brunette that had hazel eyes and refined cheekbones, "I want your help to save the world from the apocalypse."

"Long story. Now we need to go find this eye's serial number and you need to pretend to be my mother." Elara brushed the confusion off her face her face and gave the boy a disbelieving grin, "you're insane if you think I'm gonna go with this without a fucking explanation." Five gave a defeated sigh as he looked at Klaus, "your twenty bucks can wait right?" He gave Five an approving look before Five started to tell the whole story.

"You didn't tell me you worked for a time-travel company, your siblings need to know shit too, bro."

Elara tilted her head after taking in all the information, she sighed knowing that the last eight days she'd spend on earth would be dedicated to killing people to save it, "I'm in."
