Gasping for air, I can barely breathe.

What happened, I say to myself sweating beads of sweat.

Looking at my clothes, they are torn and ripped like they've been clawed by a beast.

I look at my leg, and blood covers the floor, severely indented bite marks around my ankle.

Sending my energy towards my leg, the torn skin begins to close.

Busting into my room, Essy stands at the door, arms crossed, eyes squinted.

"I can explain..."

"You'll forever have an excuse!" she says, unpropitiously.

"Get up! The coronation starts in an hour."

"Have you prepared your speech?" she asked.

"No, I have not, I'll make something up."

"Make it on the way," she says, walking down the hall.

Standing on my feet, I run after her.

"Where are we headed?" I ask.

"The others have already did their coronation traditions.

Your clan bathes in the pool of tears before the Coronation of Elders," she says, plainly.

"Where is that? And why haven't I heard of it before?"

Because only the Elder of Auriel knew the location of the pool of tears.

"He shared it with me," she says, winking.

"It is actually how I received my power."

"How so?" I ask, engaged.

"The pool for an Auriel restores the connection between Mother and an Auriel.

For mortals, it is the pool of eternal life, and power beyond comparison.

It opens the valves of connectivity in the mind.

Imperials already have the valves open when chosen by Mother, the valves are the passing of power throughout the body. It is what allows that deep feeling of power to resonate and pass through the body without killing you."

Essy looks at the guards, waving for them to open the doors.

Opening they lead to the western forest, "I thought we were never allowed to go back there," I say.

"This forest is home to the secrets of the Elders, weapons, artifacts of power, and more.

You were not ready to see this forest, but the time has come, follow me.

The pool of tears is in the center of the forest," she says, as we walk on the dirt road.

"The whole world will be on your shoulders, are you ready for that type of responsibility?" she asks.

"Personally no, but together yes, as long as we have each other, we can lead the world into a new age of peace and prosperity in the best way we know how."

"I trust your judgment," she says.

"There it is," she says, pointing at three huge boulders leaning in on each other.

"Under the boulders is a small cave, get undressed and follow the steps of your ancestors," Essy says.

"You are going to wait?" I ask, cautiously.

"Yes, I don't see why not I have nothing better to do," placing her finger on the ground, the earth reacts, forming a smooth chair for her to sit on.
