Betty's POV

Today, Jughead promised to tell the serpents about us. I was so excited, so I rung V and asked her to come over.

"Hey B! Why are you so excited!" She giggled

"Juggie said we were gonna go public, to the serpents!" I exclaimed.

"Omg B! That's really exciting!!"

"I know" I smiled.

The only person who knew bout me and Jughead dating was V. She was like the twin I never had. 

Time Pass

3rd Person POV

Betty and Jughead were hanging out with their Serpent friends until Toni popped the question. 

"So are you guys together orrr?" She asked with a smirk

"Well we're-" The blonde was cut off.

"Nah, we're just friends Toni" The raven haired boy said.

friends. they were just 'friends'. to everyone they were not dating. was he ashamed?

"y-ye-ah. jus-t fr-ien-ds. Excuse me." The girl tried to control her sobs.

She ran into the Whyte Wyrm's bathrooms and looked at herself in the mirror.

It replayed in her head. 'Nah, we're just friends' . 'Nah we're just friends'. 

The raven haired boy ran into the bathroom. 

"Betty." Jughead sighed. 

"Just friends? Are you serious! Are you- ashamed of me or something? or are you lying to me!" She sobbed.

"How did you make me believe you liked me" She cried.

"Betty, look I-"

"What." She looked up. 

"I do like you Betts." He studdered.

"But you don't like a friend in that way." She chuckled.

Then silence. They were both broken in a way only each other could fix. But they didn't have each other anymore.
