I'm dating Betty Cooper, 'perfect' girl next door. Although she was far from that. Penny Peabody, ex-serpent, now a ghoulie, planning to tear us apart. Of course it's working, because she threatened Betty. I have to protect the one thing I can't live without.

Everyday, I get phone calls from Penny, threatening to kill Betty if I didn't break her heart. But it wasn't just going to break hers. It was going to break mine too. 

"Hey Juggie! Still on for our date tonight?" Betty said cheerfully into her phone.

Little did she know it would be one of our last. 

"Yeah sure." I said bluntly to her.

I heard her sigh, and I wouldn't blame her. I've been acting like this for weeks. Not wanting to break her heart.

"I'm gonna go Juggie. I love you." She sighed.

"I love you too Betts." I said, knowing it may be the last time I ever do.

The call ended and I knew I had to do it today.

Time Skip 🐥

This was it. 

The day I had to break Betty Cooper's heart.

We walked out of the Whyte Wyrm after visiting Toni and Sweets.

"Betty- I- I think we should- should break- break up." I said trying to hold back tears.

"What? Juggie no please." She cupped my face.

"Betty, you just don't get it do you? You're all pastels and I'm all emo. We are different. Opposite!" I yell trying to turn my sadness into anger.

"Bu-But you said opposites attract!" She cried.

I hated seeing my Juliet in pain because of me.

"How many times Forsythe! How many times are you going to push me away?" She yelled.

"Until you realise you shouldn't have fallen in love with a Serpent! You aren't even apart of the Serpents, Betty!" I yell back.

"Oh Forsythe, for your information, my mother is a Serpent by blood." She cries. 

I can't even find a good reason to break up with the love of my life!

"and too late. I already fell in love with you." She mumbles. 

At this point I wish I could fix this. 

"Betty if you stay, you'll get hurt and I won't be able to protect you! Run before I ruin your life." I softly say. 

"I'm not going to destroy you too!" I yell.

"Jughead, what did I do wrong? Was it Archie?" She pleas.

"Yes, what if you cheated on me with him!" I yell out.

"Jughead, you're my boyfriend. Not Archie!" She cries.

My poor Juliet..

"What? Until you're sick of slumming it with me? Or until Archie changes his mind and says he wants to be with you?" I yell, wishing I could just hug her and tell her everything will be okay.

"Wow, okay." She mumbles and then walks off.

Time Pass 🐥

I arrive to my trailer and grab anything and throw it. I end up crying, head in my hands. 

I just ruined my relationship with Betty to keep her safe. 

Because I can't live without her.
