✧Telepathic✧
Chapter 7|A fake smile can hide all the pain inside
❝My broken heart is your fault❞
✧THE TWO OF them stare into each other's eyes, each lost in their own mind. She hears his thoughts, all of them are about her and how much he wants to help her. The girl doesn't understand him, can't he understand that she has been used and can't be helped. When a person has been brought to the breaking point, getting help is the least thing on their minds. And often the need for help isn't there. "Please, tell me what's wrong" He practically begs her. He doesn't understand why he wants to know.
Perhaps it's the psychotherapist in him, as he is studying to become a professional psychotherapist. He wants to help those in need and that girl looks like she needs someone to talk to. "I can help you" He tell her, after she doesn't answer. What he doesn't know is that she can't answer him. She can't even use sign language, as she was never taught sign language when she was a child. She stands there frozen. He still hold her wrist. She's afraid of him and afraid of what he might do to her, yet she feels like she can trust him.
Reality hits her like the hits that she gets from her parents. She struggles against his grip and frees her wrist, the pain follows as the wrist was bruised from the restraints that kept digging into her skin and burning her, and the drug that was put into her system made the pain severely unbearable for her. The memory flashes right before her eyes and it takes everything in her to not cry right there. She starts walking away from him, hoping that he gets the hint and leaves her alone, yet he doesn't.
He keeps following her, but he keeps a bit of distance between the two of them. He doesn't try to talk to her again on her, but his thoughts are battling each other of the courage to speak to her again. She doesn't look up at him again, her eyes are on the ground that she walks on and only on that. She doesn't care if she were to crash into something or someone. At this point she doesn't care about anything anymore. She has fallen into this hole in her mind and doesn't seem to be able to get back up again, she doesn't know if she wants to.
When she's in front of her apartment building she stops, and turns to look at him. She wishes she could tell him to go and leave her alone, yet she can't. As much as she wants to, she can't communicate with him or anyone. He wouldn't understand, either. As soon as she were to somehow let him know what she's capable of doing, and the fact that she can't speak, he will run as far away from her as he possibly can. Most people do that. The kids at school do that, after they bully her because she's an easy target for bullying.
He doesn't understand if she's trying to understand him. All he can do is watch her body language. He has been doing that on their way. He notices that sometimes she would limp, meaning she injured. He also notices that her eyes show only pain and misery. He figures that she's been through something. What also was noticeable was that, the closer she got to her apartment building, she became more afraid. It wasn't until she stopped and looked at him. He saw in her eyes only fright.
It's clear she lives there, yet doesn't want to go there. He sees that only bad memories are in this place. And as she's so young, he can only think of one thing that could make her this way. Child abuse. He's studied all the signs, yet has never seen a child or a teenager or even an adult that has been through it. He feels this anger go through him, as he believes that her parents are abusing her. He doesn't know what he can say to her, and he can't all the police. If he were wrong, he could be arrested or sued by the parents.
"Hey! Can you tell me your name?" He asks nervously, he doesn't know what's the best way to talk to her. He knows that he needs her to open up, yet how? He's only studied it in the college, but never has he tried to help a victim that has been through this. And he doesn't even know if he's right. She might just be depressed, yet somehow he feels like that isn't the case. The girl can hear in his thoughts that he wants to help her, and get to know her. But, that is only because he doesn't know what she is, yet.
Again, she doesn't answer him. Though, she looks at him. Trying to make him understand that she's unable to speak. But, he doesn't understand what's she's trying to tell him. Sighing, she turns around and walking into her apartment building, leaving him out there. He doesn't understand her and he won't leave her alone, he can't enter the apartment, that she knows. She just hopes that he leaves and never comes back. Little does she know that he will not stop bothering her.
He, on the other hand is surprised and dumbfounded, he just met this girl and he's already taken by her. He doesn't understand, but he wants to. With a smile on his face, he returns to his house. Picking up books, be begins to research everything he can find on child abuse and the victims of child abuse and depression and how to help people that are like this. He wants to help her and he will not stop until he has. It's clear as day that she needs help, she isn't healthy and well. But, she will be. With his help and he will not give up.
