On my way home all I could think about was that little girl I keep seeing. She looked so familiar, it's going to drive me crazy if I can't figure out who she is. I put this aside as I pull into my driveway to see the lights on.

" That's weird" I say to myself, " No one supposed to be home."

I step out of my car cautiously. As I walk up my steps I see something or someone move in the window upstairs. I slowly open the door and walk in. I check around, but can't find anything, so I head upstairs. That's when I see my older sister stumbling in her old room. I could tell she was drunk.

" Katie? What are doing here" I say kind of relieved it was just her.

" I wanted to - come home" she said with a pause in the middle.

" Why are you drunk" I question.

" I was at a party, but decided I wanna-hang with my fam" She was using slang, but she can't be that drunk, right?

" why don't you go to bed and we can hangout tomorrow" I try persuading her.

"Okayyy" she said cheerily.

"Okay" I say back as I put her in her bed.

Katie never comes home to just hang out with her 'fam' as she put it. She wants something. That's the reason she ever comes home any more.

" I love you, Sara" Katie says sleepily.

"I love you, too" I say even though she is already asleep.

I walk to my room and I check the time. It read 2:00 am. I wasn't really feeling tired so I just sat there and thought about what all of this could mean. My sister showing up out of nowhere. Mary coming back. It was a lot to happen on the anniversary of my sisters death.

I start to hum the tune of my little sisters favorite song we would sing together. As I continued to hum I heard , what I assumed was , my mother coming home. She's been working a lot lately. I didn't want to face my mom knowing that Katie was in the the other room, so I just slowly drifted off to sleep.

Only to be awoken in the middle of the night by a nightmare. I woke up sweating. I checked the clock it read 6:00 am.

" Today already started off bad" I sighed.

I got up to use the bathroom, but I saw my sister, Katie, standing in the door way of my room. She was staring at me, then she just walked away. It freaked me out a little bit because she's never done that before. I knew today was going to be very strange based on the past events that have happened.

I use the bathroom and take a shower. I got dressed and as I went to leave I decided to check on Katie.

"Katie?" I asked.

I saw she wasn't in the room, so decided to just leave it and go get breakfast. I got downstairs and I saw Katie and my mom talking they quit as soon as I walked in the room. Weird?

"What's wrong" I question.

" Sweetheart, we need to talk." My mom said

" What is it?" I say a little annoyed.

She looked at my sister and then back at me.

"The police think they know who killed maya." She said tears feeling her eyes.

Maya, it's been almost 4 years since my mom ever said that name. The name of my little sister.

"What!?" I says astonished.

" They got new evidence last night" she was crying now, " They know that a woman and a man were involved."

It took the police 4 years to even get an ounce of evidence to my sisters death. One night a little evidence and all of the sudden my sisters killer might be found. The police are going to get my moms hope up and then crush it all when the evidence doesn't add anything to the stuff they already have.

" Mom, you can't get your hopes up."I say

" I know" she said, " But it's nice to know that they have something."

She looked at me with hopeful eyes. She hasn't had that look in her since my little sister was murdered. It was kinda nice... while it lasted.
