CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE I'm A Survivor PT. 1

TONYA & WILCOX POV.

After Jay had told me everything I felt sudden fear, I wasn't sure of what to do, or what we could do. "What about the others back home? We can't just leave them." I said tearing up. "No, baby I can't have you risk your life out there. I need you here with me and the guys. They will start working on our home tomorrow. Gabe and Charles said they could have our home built within a home. They are fast and they said they can try and get the boys to help them. But for now you and me will stay here, maybe I'll see if Gabe and them will let us go back home to check on mom and dad back home." 

"No! It's not fair!" I cried out as I fell to the floor crying hard while Jay held me. 

"We are at war. You know this must be done baby girl. I will not lose you again my love." I heard Jay say calmly to me as he held my shaking body. 

Jay and I went to bed that night as we held onto each other for dear life as we tried to fall asleep quickly. By morning, we were awake and we were ready to start the day. There were some vests laying over on a chair by our bed. They looked like bullet proof vests so we put them on then our clothes. "So this is really how it has to be guarding up every day and getting ready for war?" I asked complaining. 

"I'm afraid so baby." Jay say also not liking it either. I put on some jeans and a shirt over my vest when I saw what looked like a strap for a weapon on my left side of my est and there was one on Jay's as well. Two knives laid on the same chair the vests were on and so we both took each one strapping them on our vests.  We left our room to go have breakfast which was sausage and eggs and biscuits. 

I ate two platefuls since I was hungry a lot. After that a glass of milk I was full by then. After breakfast I felt like doing the dishes and cleaning around. So I took everyone's plates and cleaned all the dishes up, when I was done Charles came back into the cabin since they all left to go outside. He made his come here motion with his finger so I did as I was told. 

"Yes?" I asked politely. Charles scared me quite a bit so I was afraid to upset him. "I am gonna train you with my sons on how to throw a knife and how to stab someone if you haven't learned it already. You are pregnant and a pregnant woman should know how to defend herself." 

I nodded in agreement. As Charles took me outside I could see Gabe  and Jay and Theo and getting our cabin ready chopping logs and everything. Jay is good at building things so I trusted him as well a the others. Charles lead me to where his sons were at in the woods over by the lake but still where we could be seen. There were three logs that were in circles like targets so I saw Tommy and Jimmy throwing their knives and they were excellent every time. Charles showed me how to throw a knife and he did his and made a perfect shot like his sons. 

"Now it's your turn my dear. Throw your knife stand straight and throw it." Charles said as he got my body in the right position and I threw the knife which I missed a few times but one of the boys would go and retrieve it but I tried over and over and over again before I had finally made it. Charles would get upset but not scream at me when I hadn't made it several times before. "Do it again and again till you know you can make that shot again." He instructed while left me alone with Tommy and Jimmy. 

I kept making the shot every time and they cheered me on for it. I was so happy that I was doing this right. It only took an hour but I was ready to go for a swim by this point. When Charles came back with some water for us all, I asked him if I could go. I kinda just wanted to be by myself for a while, of course he let me go. I ran to the cabin getting into my swim suit which was dry by now and I ran to the lake to swim. Jay and the others were still right by the lake so I knew I wasn't alone in the lake. As I swam some laps I knew this would be good for me too to tone up my body. I go for a jog every morning and I have lost a lot of weight but now that I am pregnant it will be even much harder to for me to do anything. 

I swam around for a while longer before getting out and heading to the shower when I felt a pair of hands wrap around me and I found that it was Jay. "Have a nice swim there beautiful?" He asked laughing. "Yes I did. Wanna shower with me again?" I said wanting him again all of a sudden but I knew I couldn't do that because it isn't safe after a while. He smiled and said yes of course so we both got in the shower and just made out while we washed each other down. 

We got out and I went on a head and got into my pajamas. since I wanted to stay inside anyways. I was left alone in the house while they guys were outside working on the cabin together. I stayed nice and cool in the cabin and started cooking dinner I made a pizza making the dough by hand and scratch and then I added sauce and cheese and of course the meat. I made it all, I then craved having a soda to drink. When the pizza was done the men came inside. "What's wrong baby doll?" Jay asked me. "I want a soda can one of you please run to the store and get me one?" I asked politely. Gabriel nodded and said that he would go so he grabbed the keys by the door to the truck and he left while the rest of us all sat down to dinner. 

"You made pizza? Charles asked me. "Yes I did."

GABRIEL 

I was in the truck driving for a while to town to get Tonya her soda I absolutely loved that girl, she was just a light to us all, oh God how I wanted her to be my daughter but she belonged to the Bronx's so I couldn't do anything about it. 

When I would be at home with my wife and sons they would cry for her. They would say how they wish she could be our family and be ours forever but I can't take her from her husband and his parents. So I drove for about thirty minutes and had made it to a small gas station I went by the gas pumps since there was a drink machine by the windows so I grabbed a soda and put a dollar in the machine pressed thing button for the Dr. Pepper drink I took the drink going back into the truck and went back to the log cabin area. I then made a decision which was that Tonya would be part of our lives, but as a double life for us. She would be our daughter on the weekends and be the daughter and wife for the Bronx's. She had to be my daughter and I was gonna see to it. 

I needed to talk to her alone after dinner. I had finally made it to the cabin catching everyone in time for dinner. I grabbed a few slices of the pizza Tonya had made and I handed her, her drink she thanked me for it popped open the can and drank it quickly. 

"Tonya I need to talk to you for a moment alone after dinner ok?" I said. "Um ok." She responded with a sweet smile." 

When dinner was over, I took Tonya into my room to talk. I could tell she was nervous but it wasn't what she must be thinking. "I, I think I wanna leave now." She said trying to leave. "No, please, don't be scared I won't hurt you. This isn't what you are thinking please. I just wanted to talk to you about something." I said as I sat her back down on the bed. 

"Ok, so what is it?" She asked me calmly. 

"Well, when we saved your life. did you like being with us?" I asked. "Yes. I did but I wanted to go back home to Jay and his parents." She said as she twisted the sheet of the bed with her fingers. "Well we knew that dear, but we love you so much. We almost never wanted to let you go but we knew you had belonged to someone else so we let you go." "What are you saying Gabriel?" She asked. 

"Well, we want you to be our daughter as well as sister to the boys." I finally said putting it out there. "You did? But, I ain't worth it." She said hiding her face from me. I went over to her placing my hands gently on her chin lifting her head back up. "I want you to be my daughter. I want you to be mine forever. We won't take you away from the Bronx's just sit down with them and discuss this over some tea or something. Lindsay loves you dear and she is lonely without you. She says that when you stayed with us you brought a light into our world and we just loved and adored you and still do. Please, just on weekends come and stay with us. Please dear." I said as I planted a kiss on her head. 

"Tonya nodded to me as I held her like I would my own daughter. I kissed the top of her head over and over I just loved this girl and I know she loved our family too. So I was happy. I let her leave the room and got into the bed after changing into some pj shorts no top and just crawled on the bed falling asleep.
