My mom parked the car and I looked up at the huge brick school in front of me.
"Oh boy."
I muttered under my breath, my mom laughed at my response.
"Don't worry, just be yourself. Now go."
I gave her a funny look and got out of the car grabbing my back pack. I watched as she drove out of the parking lot and slipped out from view. I turned my attention back to the school and to all the girls and boys entering with their friends. I took a deep breath and walked towards the entrance, when I entered the building I almost wanted to cover my ears from all the noise. I wandered around trying to find a quiet place and also to get to know the area. A loud slap erupted from the room and a group of boys laughing. I couldn't help but turn my gaze to the commotion, what I saw was heart breaking. A group of boys were looking down at this small girl on her knees picking up her binder and papers that must've slipped out. They would laugh and kick what she had picked up out from her hands, a crowd started to form and I could see the girl looked like she was about to cry. I bit my lip and started making my way to her (which wasn't hard since I was pretty tall). When I broke through the crowd and walked up to the girl I felt everyone's eyes on me. I dropped my backpack causing the girl to jump and look up at me, I felt so bad for her she looked like a hurt puppy. I got down on one knee and started picking up the papers around me, I caught glimpses of many different drawings on them but didn't pry.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing?"
I heard one of the boys yell at me, but I ignored him and kept picking up the papers. I saw in the corner of my eye one of the boys was about to kick the papers the girl had picked up out of her hands. I looked up and caught his foot before it reached the girl, I quickly stood and kicked his other foot out from under him. He fell to the floor with a loud bang, I crouched back down and picked up the remaining papers and handed them to the girl.
"T-thank you."
I nodded and picked my backpack up and put one strap over my shoulder.
"Can you show me around? I'm new here."
The girl seemed shocked I spoke to her then quickly nodded her head and started walking towards a hallway, every eye in that room watched me leave.

Sorry for such a long chapter 😋
