I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night, I had gotten dressed and examined the bite mark on my neck. There were two little holes about an inch apart with a little bit of blood running down my colerbone. I put a bandage on and tried to cover it with my jacket. I was sitting on my bed staring at my sheets, a noise at my window made me jump and almost fall off my bed. I walked over and saw a bird shaking it's head, poor thing must've flown into the window. I slowly opened my window to examine the bird but it flew off. I sighed and closed my window, turning around and heading to my door.
"Morning."
I jumped and spun around to see Chris sitting on my bed with his eyes closed, I felt a little bit of disappointment but quickly shook it off.
"What do you want?"
I had my hand on the door knob ready to leave when I need to. He opened his eyes and looked at me.
"I was going to come and visit tonight but Velvet had beaten me to the punch."
I blushed remembering everything that happened.
"So now you know what we are, but there's one thing you really should know. Us vampires make a lot of bets, and we hate losing."
Chris stood up and walked slowly over to me, I tried to quickly open the door but Chris put his hand on it and leaned his body weight on it. He leaned over me and placed his other hand beside my head. He leaned forward baring his fangs. I had a gut reaction and brought my knee up hitting Chris where the sun doesn't shine, he groaned and brought his head back where I headbutted him in the lip. He stumbled back and I quickly let my room running down stairs. I dashed into the kitchen almost running into my mom before skidding to a stop.
"Oh! Morning honey, I was just about to call to you for breakfast."
She placed a warm plate of buttery pancakes on the dining table. I nodded a thanks due to being out of breath. I sat down and started eating breakfast, wondering how the rest of this day will go.
