Imagine being followed by Adam

Oh god, you thought to yourself as you walked home. You'd stayed too late at your friends house, and you'd only just managed to get on the last bus. You loved going around to your friends house, but not the journey there. You both lived in separate cities, with a vast waste of derelict houses and wasteland stretching for miles in between. The bus stopped after a very minutes and the driver cursed loudly, before apologising, saying that you would have to walk as the bus had broken down. It was late, and it was pitch black out, the power being out so none of the streetlights worked. It had been warm out, but now it was freezing, and you were shaking with cold, only wearing a short summery dress and a little denim jacket and boots. Every noise made you jump, your eyes scanning the darkness as you walked along the path. You looked at the empty houses as you walked past, the gardens overgrown. You heard footsteps behind you, growing closer, and you stopped, quickly turning around. The man walking behind also stopped, watching you, dressed in black clothes, his dark hair partially covering his face. "Stop following me", you said to him, hugging yourself tighter as you felt a cold shiver go through you looking in his grey eyes. "I'm just walking. Doesn't mean to say I'm following you", he said, giving you a little smile, a cold smile. You didn't like him, so turned and started walking quicker down the path, but you hear him begin walking behind you again. "Although I could be walking. In a way, following you. More like hunting", his voice said from behind, standing your neck hairs on end. He drew out the word 'hunting', letting it hang in the air, as you glanced back over your shoulder at him. He had a dark grin on his lips, curved into a wicked smile, his eyes lustfully on you. You screamed in horror and began to run. "Help me please! Help!", you screamed, trying to attract attention from someone, anyone, fearing this man was going to attack you. "There's no point. Save your breathe for me. I want to hear it as I drain it out of you", he chuckled as he walked after you as you ran. You were terrified; no one was around and this man was going to kill you! You ran as fast as your legs could carry you to the end of the street where you dared to look back to see him walking after you casually, not running, knowing that you will never be able to outrun him to get away to safety. You sprinted around the corner, your lungs burning as you slipped around the corner, down a side alleyway, hoping to give him the slip. You gasped for breath, taking a quick glance back around the corner to see if he was coming, but nothing came. You began to grow nervous; why hadn't he come by now. "So you like to hide in shadows aswell. I like this game, but unfortunately I am the hunter, and you are the hunted". A tear ran down your cheek when you heard that harsh voice come from behind you. If you could tremble any more with fear you would, knowing you couldn't run; there was no escape. His arm wrapped around your waist, pinning your arms to your side as he pulled you into his chest. His cold breath fell down your neck as you trembled, his dark whisper into your ear. "Shhh, don't cry my dear. This won't hurt much", he whispered gently as you whimpered. "P-please, I-I don't have a-anything. Just l-let me go, p-please", you cried between sobs uncontrollably as his hand stroked your cheek. "Oh no, you have everything to give. So young and pure. Your blood will be sweetest yet", he whispered, nearly kissing your ear as his grip around your waist tightened. Blood! You panicked and seeing it as a last effort attempt to escape you tried with all your might to run, to pull your arms free, to scream for help. The man chuckled as he kept hold of you as you struggled, merely lifting you clean off the floor with his arm around you, your legs kicking around madly. "Shhh. Your starting to give me a headache", he moaned as you screamed and cried, and clamped his hand over your mouth. You trembled and cried, realising that this man was going to kill you, as you looked out at the dark empty wilderness that would be your grave; no one would ever find you. "I want to see your eyes before I drain you", his cold voice whispered into your ear as tears fell down your cheeks. He pushed your head back so you were now looking up to the sky, the stars and moon shining bright which only made you cry more, realising it would be the last time you see them. Then the mans face came into view above you. His skin as pale as a dead mans, his eyes sunken, his cheeks sharp, his black hair messed over on one side. Your eyes widened looking into his, watching the cold grey eyes turn lustful and hungry, his lips parting to reveal sharp fangs. You froze in horror; this must be a nightmare, please let this just be a nightmare, your mind screamed seeing the man holding you was a vampire. "I have one more thing to ask. What is your name? I'm Adam. I like to know the name of my prey, so I can savour this memory and your taste", he whispered, letting his hand slide down off your mouth to your neck, gripping it firmly. You stared into his eyes, knowing your last word would be your last. With your final breath, a tear falling down your cheek, you whispered it, "Y/N". In the flash of lightning that filled the sky, you watched Adam smile, baring his fangs before crashing them into your neck with the crack of thunder. "No!", you cried, jolting your eyes awake. The bus slammed to a hault, the driver turning around to look at you. You gulped, looking around; you were still on the bus, it had been a dream. "S-sorry", you muttered to the driver, who rolled his eyes and continued driving. You looked out of the window and noticed the sky crack and fill with lightning. You slumped back in your seat and gave a little yelp, sucking at your finger. An exposed nail was sticking up and you'd caught your finger on it. You heard a sharp intake of breath from behind you, and heard rustling around before someone tapped you on the shoulder. "Here. Use this", they said, offering a plaster to you from behind. "Thank you sir", you said to the young gentleman, taking it off them, covering your wound. "Oh please, call me Adam", they said. You froze , your eyes looking at their hand, their pale skin and long slender fingers still resting on your shoulder. Your eyes followed upwards, taking in the thick black leather jacket they were wearing, their tall neck, their messed black hair, sharp cheekbones and cold grey eyes. Your eyes were locked on his, the dream coming back to you. He frowned looking at you as you stared at him, the colour draining from you. "Are you alright?", he asked gently. You didn't know what to do, or say, the lightning striking again, casting a shadow over you. "Y/N", Adam whispered, looking deep into your eyes. You felt weak inside, giddy, confused, overcome, a sudden sharp pain filling your neck through your whole body. It all became too much, as your eyes rolled back and you passed out, the last sight you seeing is Adams grin, a hungry look in his eyes as your world fell to darkness.
