No Excuse in Not Going

Minerva's POV

It was nearly 5 pm and im still at the school gym waiting for Keith and Sam. Since Zeida was out of town Keith is going home with me along with Sam. Yet, they are still in the gym warming up and, Sam? His flirting with Maxell's younger sister Victoria, eesh young love.

"Okay thats enough for today! Good job team! Keith, Alex, Maxell keep up the good work! Im proud of you and to all, good luck tonight. Lets win the title, lets have our name carved in big bold gold letters in that trophy!" Coach Cozach said gathering his team. "Yeah!" The team yelled. "Eastbrook Warriors!" "Eastbrook! Eastbrook! Eastbrook! Eastbrook!" The whole team chant causing the gym to shake in their loud voices. Or am I just exaggerating? Yeah i am.

Keith went to their lockers behind the court to shower. Volleyball, basketball, and baseball players can have the court or shool grounds whenever they need it -to practice of course- they also have their own locker/rooms and team bathroom. If your not part of the team you can't use it without any of the players permission.

I saw Sam standing up and waving good bye to Victoria which she nodded. As i turned my head, i let out a scream of terror as i was falling to the hard floor of the gym. I closed my eyes waiting for the moment when my butt hits the floor--. But it didn't. Im alive!

"You can open your eyes now." A voice stated. Its cold breath touched my neck causing me to shiver -invisibly- in place. (A/n: i dont even know of "invisibly" is a word😂 bear with me😉)

I opened my eyes and saw that maxell is holding me and we were dangerously close to each other.

(Okay okay fine, geez woman)

He let go of me and we stand face to face awkwardly. "Are you okay?" Maxell asked scratching his neck. "Yeah," i said awkwardly.

"Looks like someone is falling" the nosy Sam said. "Shut up" i said sternly. "Guess i have to go now, see you around." I said the awkward air still around. "Yeah, see you in the game" he stated and we parted ways with sam following me.

When we entered the car i let out a loud sigh. And drove us home.

"Ganny!" We all yelled and threw ourselves in her arms. "How was school?" She asked us smiling. "Its was horrible!" I said dramatically while taking off my shoes. "Aww, dont worry.. i brought cakes! There in the kitchen" she said and we all went to the kitchen.

"So, minerva...." gran started
"Yeah?"
"Since its friday, and keith is on his game, why don't you go and watch him in his game tonight?"
"Ehh..... l'm not really in the mood"
"But its friday isn't it?"
"Yeah but, nobody is going to go with me, and plus, i need to study for next month's exam"
"Next month? You mean next next month, sis! That freaking fudging exam is 2 months and 3 weeks away and your studying?! Really? You could just go out and have fun!" Sam cut in.

"Plus, i could go with you if you want" he added smirking, "No. You. Are. Not" granny said "but why? Its unfair! They go out while i cant? How's that possible?" He whined.

"Better get changing..." granny said ignoring Sam's whine.

Since i had no excuse here i am waiting for Keith outside our driveway. I'm wearing a front pocket white shirt, a gucci matte black jacket and a fadded pair of jeans.

We headed to school and arrived quite early as needed. I sat in the corner of the bleachers in the gym while whatching them prep talking, slowly i drifted to sleep without knowing.
