I used to hate that Scent

Minerva's POV

It had been 3 days since i met Ian in the clearing.

Im currently at Stars with Ashton, Colleen and Maxell in Starbucks. We had been talking all about a bit of everything.

"I know!" Colleen exclaimed. "Lets swap of initials! Polen Carker" she started. "Pinerva Merks?" I said, more like a question "dork" maxell said blankly. "Aaxell Mnderson" he said proudly. "Wierdo" i said blankly. "Ashton Alle--- you know what? This game is ridiculous!" Ashton said but stop mid sentence when he realized nothing happened in swapping his initials.

After a while of this and that. We decided to go home.

Finally class 1st semester over! And to celebrate that, I'd be watching a movie with maxell at home.

Also, earlier while at the waiting shed, Ian passed by and waved at me and smiled sweetly. Maxell asked who he was.

~earlier~

While waiting for our ride a black car passed by and lowered its window revealing ian. He waved and smiled sweetly at me. Maxell hanged his hand in my shoulders and kissed the left side of my head. Smirking.

Ian then frowned and we said good bye. When he was out of our sight, maxell then spoke "who was that?" Pointing at the direction where Ian disappeared. "He?, he was the guy who broke my baby heart" i said quietly making him say "what?".

I then proceeded in telling him what happened. From the first time i met him in Raleigh, when he helped me in the library, how he and Kristine helped me when my brother shoved a spoonful of sand in my mouth (which made him crack in a fit of good laugh) and everything else, then how he broked my heart and how i met him after the game.

~present~

"Dinner and movies?" Maxell asked, while we are eating dinner at my place "well, movies could take hours" i exclaimed. "How 'bout I teach you how to make scented candles?" I looked at him. "Yeah anything."

"Here," i said as i hand him the wax, "you need to weigh it to make sure its the correct amount". I said as he started to pour the wax into the mini cauldron as i mixed the scents.

"Ouch!" He exclamed which made me looked at him. "Did you burnt yourself?" I asked. "Yeah, its nothing" he answered rubbing his fingers. "No its not fine. Burns should be washed in cold water for a long time." I said as i pulled him to the kitchen to wash his hands.

"I wonder if we still have ice cubes.." i wispered to myself. As i was about to look for ice cubes in the fridge, he pulled me into a hug. "That smell." He whispered, "i used to hate that scent" sighing he continued "now, i like it."

We stayed in that position after, "whats that smell?" I exclamed. "Hmm?" He answered. "Oh no" i said as i ran right back to the living room.

"Its all ruined. All the water has evaporated" i said. "Im sorry." He said silently. "Its ok, how about cleaning up?" I asked. "Yeah."
