I was only 11 years old when I discovered I was an elemental. A water elemental. I was swimming at the community pool. I didn't know how to swim, but somehow, I felt like the water was at my mercy. I made big waves and shoved all who were in the pool out of it with a crunch of a hand.
As I got out of the water, a crescent moon glowed a blue light under my hand. My mark. Then suddenly, everything turned pitch black and my late grandfather appeared, wearing a robe as flowing, smooth and blue as the ocean.
"You inherited my power, Agenos. Use it wisely."
I didn't know what it meant but I felt secure with his words.
It's been 5 years since that day, but I feel like there's more to this. More than being a boy with hydrokinetical abilities. I don't want to just go with the flow. I know I'm destined for greatness.
