Shocks went down my spine; and they grew more intense by the second. I couldn't bear it anymore, so I rushed to the restroom and locked the door.
My mark glowed so bright; like it never did before. And suddenly, my eyes turn completely blank, but luminous. As everything got pitch black, images flash in my mind, and I am forced to watch.
I see a hand with a mark like mine, but instead of the crescent moon, it was the sun. It glowed so bright, with contrasting shades of yellow, red, and orange. It was amazingly mesmerizing but blinding at the same time.
Then I see a young man wearing a blue robe, standing on the edge of a sea-facing cliff. Facing him was another young man wearing a red robe.
"We meet again, my friend. you can still back down from the battle. You wouldn't want your weak powers to go to waste, would you?" said the red-robed, with an evil smile on his face.
"I will never back down from a fight. Never." said the blue-robed.
The blue-robed looked so familiar, as if I've known him in a past life.
"Then you've made your choice."
Then the red-robed starts to chant some kind of ancient language and a blue and read beam of light emerges from his hands.
"For generations, our bloodline has held this 'ultimate energy force'," said the red-robed. "And I do not intend to let it slip away."
"Oh, I wouldn't be so sure of that." said the blue-robed.
Suddenly, something clicks and makes sense.
The blue-robed is my grandfather! No wonder he looked so familiar! And now, he's trying to tell me something again, but in the form of a memory. But, why this way?
Grandpa (or should I say Verlockh) pulls a huge wave from the sea below and motion it to the red-robed, who has also generated what seemed like a blazing fire.
Wait, fire???
A fire elemental??? They exist???
The red-robed strikes it at Verlockh as the wave almost strikes him. And as the flame hits Verlockh, everything turns pitch black and back to normal. My eyes and my mark stop glowing.
I still haven't taken in what I just saw. A fire elemental fought with my father!!!
A million questions rush to my mind. Why were they fighting? Who was that red-robed man? And most importantly, what's the "ultimate energy force"?
I check my watch; I've only got 10 minutes to get to class.
Why did grandpa want me to see those things in the first place? Why did I go berserk when I was about to approach the beauty? Was it a coincidence, or, in my wildest and craziest thoughts, is she a fire elemental?
I guess the sun-mark would belong to one, but, if she really is a fire elemental, why haven't I seen it under her hand?
I refuse to think she is.
I head back to class and luckily, I've still got 5 minutes to spare.
Minerva's in her seat with a book in her hands (as usual) and as she sees me,
"Oh, hey Agenos, where have you been? And what the heck happened to you a while ago? I saw you twitch like crazy!" said Minerva.
"You won't believe what I just saw."
