Final Chapter Ending

This was what I had planned to be the ending of the final chapter, but I got uninspired and a new account, and kinda forgot about this story until just now. I hope you enjoy this little part I wrote a while back. Hopefully my writing had gotten better over the years 😅.

Your POV:

I was joyous. We had finally brought back the world of light and defeated Ganondorf. Of course, there was sadness. Link and I were still devastated by the fact that we would never be able to see Midna again. But everyone’s happiness drowned the sorrow, and at that moment, we forgot our pain. Even if it was just momentarily. Suddenly, I felt a pair of warm arms wrap around me from behind. They let go when I went to turn around and I was met with a smirking Link. He pulled me in and smashed his lips into mine. I melted into the kiss until I suddenly remembered something Hylia had said. “And no, you cannot return to your world. At least not until the light is restored to Hyrule and you have defeated Ganondorf.” I thought about what she said. We had restored the light and defeated Ganondorf. We pulled away from the kiss and looked into each other’s eyes. “I love you.” Link said. I grinned. “I love you, too.” Suddenly, my entire body started to become pixelated.

“Link, what’s happening?”

“I don’t know!”

My feet started fading and it progressed up my body.

“(Y/N), no! Don’t leave me! I lo-”

Darkness.

I slowly opened my eyes and saw that I had fallen asleep during lunch break at school. I quickly took out my phone and texted both my parents telling them that I love them. I sighed in relief as they both responded back seconds later with an I love you, too.

“Hi.”

I yelped, almost falling out of my seat. I turned around and saw my boyfriend. I sighed. “Hey, (C/n).” He chuckled and kissed my cheek.

“So what were you dreaming about, sleepy head?”

“Oh… Nothing much.”
