Ok, so only some of you know that I'm Filipino because you know me IRL. But if any of you know what Filipino Weekend is, I love you! Anyway, back at the topic, I was practicing the Filipino National Anthem when I was little to perform on base in Missouri.
Mom made me practice every night, and when the day came, it was during school and she made me wear this traditional thing and it was very itchy.
Anyway, I sang, and after I was done, my mom's friends who were also Filipino did this traditional dance and we danced with bamboo. It was so fun.
After all that stuff, we finally ate, and my mom dropped me off at the school age program and the lady at the desk said, "Hey (name), you're on the newspaper. Good job!"
It was a very big deal for me since I was a kid, so I immediately grabbed a copy and went to "share time" and told everyone. They all went to the front desk and got a copy to see for themselves and everyone was like, "Woah! (Name) you're so cool! When you become famous make sure to remember me!"
I of course told them that I would make sure to remember them, but I broke that promise because I don't remember a single person except like 4 people.
So this story wasn't really that incredible to you guys but it was a big one for me. See ya!
