Into The Forest

chapter one

Emily's pov:

The final bell rung meaning that school day was over. I grabbed my things and headed out the door as I texted the group chat. I asked them to meet me by the doors out front. The college was huge, I knew it would take a while for everyone to make their way through the crowd of people to the front doors. I waited for about 10 minutes before Karina and Judson made there way out of the sea of people.

"Sorry if we're late, I had to go back to the lockers to find this one." Judson said while pointing at Karina.

"It's ok, I've heard nothing from Liu, Emma said she's coming with Angelina." we waited outside in the warm sun for the rest of them. They started showing up one by one. Once the group was there we ran to catch the bus right as it was about to leave. The bus pulled away right as we got to the end of the street.

"God damnit!" Karina said throwing her hands up, her flip phone falling in the process.

"Oh no my flip phone!" she yelled picking it up.

" I don't live too far from here, we can all walk down to my house and I can drive you back." I said, I saw everyone stares at me in confusion.

"If it wasn't that far then why do you take the bus?"

"Oh, well. It's the closest one here, it's over near Ballenger Middle." I said while placing a hand on the back of my neck. I didn't want anyone to be mad at me for saying I lived pretty close to the school when I didn't, I thought I could help everyone.

Somehow everyone agreed to walk with me to my house, the whole way there no one really talked. I blamed myself for making us miss the bus but another part of me said that I didn't do anything wrong.

~time skip to at Emily's house -'-~

"Thank god that's over! If you had a car, why don't you drive it down everyday?" Emma said still out of breath.

"You all are weak, that was nothing."

"Shut it Judson!" Karina yelled, but it came out more like a whisper. I could only fit about three other people in my car at once so I took as many people as I could go back to their house, I just thought that they could get their things and come back. About an hour and a half later it was 5:30.

"Holy shit! The plane leaves at 6!" I heard Angelina yell from the kitchen. I took out my phone and checked the time. sure enough, it was 5:30.

"Ok everyone grab your shit and get in the damn van! I'm taking my moms car for this." I yelled from the bottom of the stairs, the guys pushed pass all of the girls to get out the door, I stood there with a blank look on my face, so did the rest of the girls. There was barely any room in the van but we were finally able to get all the bags and suitcases in the back, along with Alana sitting in the trunk with them. I was still the one driving with Karina sitting shotgun.

"How far away is the airport?"

"About half an hour, it's in DC- for the love of holy heaven we are gonna miss the fucken plane!" I said while slamming my head into the steering wheel, making the horn go off. I stayed like that for about 10 seconds.

"If you would stop acting like such a baby we could get going! Let me drive." Daniel said from the back seat. I sat up and shook my head. I pulled out of my driveway and floored it down the road.

"Slow down you idiot we're gonna get pulled over!" Judson yelled from the back seat.

"I'm the driver so shut it, I don't need back seat drivers to help me."

"Babe your gonna get pulled over, or your gonna hit someone. Slow the fuck down." Liu said, "I know I'm going to hit someone off the road but it's a life or death situation right now and I'm gonna kill whoever gets in my way!"
