Karina's pov:

I was already pissed from the lies Alyssa was saying, and now Alana fell from the edge of the river bank.

"You bitch, you killed her!"

I yelled while running at Alyssa, Judson grabbed me and held me back. I fell to the ground crying, Emily and Angelina rushed to my side.

"We, we don't know for sure," Lauren said, but I knew she was wrong.

We got up and slowly walked to where the grass ended, I finally was able to see over the edge of grass and dirt into the creek. Blood was painted all over the rocks and dyed the water red. I covered my mouth and walked back to the group which, weren't far behind. I looked at Emily and Lauren and nodded my head, still crying. I could see Alyssa in the back, she looked sorry.

"Damn, I didn't think she would be that dumb to jump off the edge." she said, I raised my head and glared at her, most everyone else did the same.

"Come on, let's keep walking, because someone doesn't know the way back." she said the last part under her breath. We continued walking, we walked in the opposite direction from what happened, but Alyssa took so many turns so we couldn't tell which direction we went.

Emily's pov:

It was completely dark by now, we couldn't even see the trees in front of us. So we stopped at what we thought was a small clearing. We took out the tents and set them up. I was with Liu, Emma, Lauren and Karina. The night was silent, there was no noise from any animals either. I think we were all still awake but lying perfectly still. I finally sat up and looked to the side of the tent where it was lit up by a small light we had outside.

The light wasn't shining as bright as it had been , there was something covering the side of the tent where the light was placed outside. I tilted my head but I couldn't get a better view of the shadow outline. I saw it quickly move away with a soft fabric sound. I jumped back a little and continued to stare at the side of the tent.

"What's wrong?"

Liu said sitting up, I could tell he was still kinda out of it.

"There was something outside. There was something on the side of the tent."

I said with a shaky breath.

"It's ok, just go back to sleep."

he said while wrapping his arms around me and pulling me down on the group. I forced to fall asleep. The next morning I was the first one awake, or the only one to get out of the tent. Everyone seemed tried still and none of us really talked.

"Where did you say you saw that, thing?" Liu asked.

"It was on the side of the tent, it was like a shadow. Then, it moved." I said, but I wasn't even sure I really saw it. Liu nodded and walked to the side of the tent that was facing the lantern.

I saw him cover his mouth and walk back over to me, eyes still on the ground.

"I swear if you all did this in the middle of the night, and I'm mainly talking about you and your bullshit." Alyssa said, she backed up.

"The fuck you're talking about? It was your fault Alana died." I balled up my fist to keep myself from punching her, I wasn't about to get in another fight, it's not what Alana would have wanted.

"Go look for yourself asshole."

she rolled her eyes and walked over to the side of the tent. She screamed and jumped back. We all ran over there to see what was wrong. I immediately regretted it. I knew that night I did see something, and I made the right choice to stay in the tent. One the side was a smeared bloody handprint, it all made sense to me now. A hand was the shadow I saw, and when it moved off the tent the blood got everywhere.

"Who's blood is that?" Emma screamed.

"What if it's Alana's?" Alyssa said laughing. Lauren walked up to her and pushed her back.

"What the fuck was that for?" she yelled throwing her hands out.

"For fucken making fun of Alana like that? Your the one that made her kill herself because you wouldn't shut up and admit that you're the one who got us lost!" Lauren put her hands on her head and turned away from Alyssa.

A few minutes later we packed up the two other tents we had and continued walking in the direction we thought we came from. I didn't feel safe here anymore, it wasn't the same as it was when we got here. We were all still mad as Alyssa and none of us talked the whole time we were walking. I guess we either didn't have anything to say, or this was not a time for jokes and games.

"Damn why are you all so quiet?" I rolled my eyes and glared at Alyssa again, she could never shut the hell up.

"It's not the same, and I don't wanna make jokes when Alana just jumped from the edge of a creek."

"Well damn, get over it already will you? It's not that big of a deal." she said crossing her arms. That's when I snapped.
