𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃𝐒 𝐖𝐀𝐒
heard from The compound, lifting his head up Tony had awoken to a figure moving on top of him. At first he thought it was him hallucinating but then his eyes widened when he remember what happened just a few hours ago, last night.

Sound asleep on top of him Pepper moved ever so slightly closer to him, as she cuddled into his chest. Pepper's strawberry blonde straight hair was a mess but in a way Tony thought it looked hot. she had on a white tight dress, they must of fell asleep together on the couch. Tony had the urge to kiss her soft, red lips passionately but fought against doing so. Tony continued to rest his head on her, smelling her scent once again. He kissed the top of her head and she started to move. "Good morning Tony, Stop looking at my body" she spoke softly, Pepper didn't sound surprised that he was looking, instead she got off of him and swiftly walked away from the billionaire.

"How did you kn- i wasn't looking" Tony tried to cover up his previous statement.

"Oh really, then look at my face" she placed her hands on her hips trying to be sassy. Tony looked up, it was as if he couldn't look fully up but stop at her figure. "See, if I didn't wake up, I would probably be your new toy."

"Pep, it's not my fault that's what you wear" Tony tried to blame her for wearing clothes that made her look attractive, he tried to look elsewhere, but unfortunately Tony found it impossible.

"It's not my fault this is the uniform" Pepper commented winning the argument. Tony knew he lost the minute they started to argue.

"FRIDAY, anything new about Peter's location" Tony tried to change the subject onto the lost kid.

"Well sir, he has been relocated, but I cannot find his location at the moment, there is a clue on the street nearby his perivous one" the A.I said to Tony.

"Pep, you stay here, I'll go find my son" Tony ordered.

"No, I want to go too, I want to help" Pepper started to protest about always being lefted behind and doing nothing but wait for him to return home hurt, attacked or injured, sometimes all three.

"Find you can wear this ear aid, so we can communicate with one other" Tony gave her the aid and started to suit up. In no time the Iron bits started to fly through the air to Tony, while Pepper went to find a screen she could see everything from. "Ok, don't forgot to make me breakfast when I get back" Tony smiled knowing that Pepper wouldn't. She rolled her eyes at him and started to find the location the clue was on.

Flying through the air for the millionth time in circles he couldn't fine anything, in fact anyone. Tony was obviously bored and clueless. He didn't find the clue, he didn't know where to go, he felt dizzy and tired trying to rest in the air. "Tony what's wrong?" Pepper asked through the aid.

"Nothing" Tony gasped.

"What's happening, tell me now " she stated trying to sound harsh. She knew something was wrong since his heart rate was abnormally high.

"I- hav- a- pan-" Tony wasn't able to finish his sentence.

"You have a pan?" She asked on the other side of the line. Pepper heard a 'thump' she was surprised but at the same time scared.

"Tony?" No reply.

"Tony" Pepper started to get worried. She felt her heart break the minute he didn't answer. 'Maybe they won't as close as she thought, maybe he does hate me, maybe he just thinks i'm annoying'. Her thought went wild... but not in a good way, they were all negative. She was frozen for a second, she knew this day would come, the day Tony says he hated her from the start, the day that she loses him to some other girl that has everything he wanted to make him satisfied or to an accident.

The heart rate monitor went faster and faster, until it stopped. Pepper froze again. "Tony?"

"FRIDAY what is happenin-" She didn't have the heart to complete her sentence but FRIDAY understood.

"It appears that Tony has a heart attack, he pasted out and lost a lot of blood. At the moment he appears dead." At the word 'dead' Pepper was motionless, she felt the colour drain from her face, pale as a ghost.

"Is ther- a way-y to fix- it-t?" Pepper said through loud sobs. She coudn't think properly, she grabbed an Iron suit and started to find Tony's location.

"Ms. Potts it appears that your stress level is rising should I inform Mr. Stark?" FRIDAY asked through the suit.

"Is he alive?" Pepper was for one with the answers, confused. She didn't know what to do.

"It seems that he has been connected to something that boosted his heart rate, yes he is. For now at least" The A.I continued to keep Pepper in tabs of Tony's behaviour.

It has been at least an hour since Pepper lefted home, she was having difficulty controlling the suit, occasionally bumping into buildings or street lights. "You must take a rest Ms. Potts" FRIDAY said, everything she crashed into ruined the suit more and more until it was damaged beyond repair.

"No, I need to find Tony" she was determined to find him. She needed him, his joke, his personality, everything about him she loved but a little too much.

Pepper stopped in the air looking down at the city streets, the lights were all turned on and the city looked bright but the sky made it darker. "Where are you Tony?" Pepper cried quietly to herself. "I miss you so much, I miss you too Peter" she looked up at the sky. "I will come" she started the suit again making it boost into the air like a shooting star.

As she found her way across the city she never noticed the beauty within the towns. Every detail of buildings, bridges or houses made her think of how lucky she was, to have people who care and love her. "Pep" she was stopped by the voice she thought was long gone. "Pep, can you hear me?" His weak voice made her heart tear into small pieces. "I want you to turn back, I've found the kid. I just..." Tony wondered off. "Just can't lose you too" his words broke her heart like a sharp knife stabbing evey vein in her body.

Pepper watched as his heart rate rose and fell. "You have Peter?" She asked still shaking.

"Yep, but bring the medical equipment out when I come back. He needs all the help he can get" Tony's voice was soft, weak and he sounded vulnerable. Pepper felt droplets of water fall down from her eyes to her cheeks, 'he doesn't deserve this' she thought. Pepper wasn't concentrating on where she was going but found herself crashing into another wall. "Pep, what happened?" She heard Tony's voice through the other side.

"I crashed again, how do you control this suit?" She gave a small laugh through the speaker and tried to find her way back to the compound.

On her way there she heard voices "I know you have the kid give him to me and no will be harmed" or "give it to me or I'll shoot him" Pepper immediately started to panic. She didn't want to alert anyone that she could hear everything so she kept quiet.

"I will" was the last thing she heard, until she was disconnected. She frowned feeling very uncomfortable with the thought of Tony and Peter being captured. She had the urge to speak, to Tony, to Peter, to the person holding them hostage, but what good would it do?
