Emily's POV

Lunch finally came and I noticed Shawn walking to my locker.

"Ready?" He asks, damn he's cute.

"Ready." I say and follow him.

The lunch room was crowded. I couldn't find hannah, but shawn thankfully pointed her out.

We take a seat and all the girls look at us.

"What are you doing here?" One girl asks.

"Um hannah invited me and I invited shawn."

"You can sit, but he has to go." She snorts.

I look over and see Shawns facial expression drop. He looks down and walks away.

I glance at the girl and follow Shawn.

"Why'd they do that to you?" I say trying to catch up.

"I'm not like you." He looks at me and whispers.

"Tell me." I whisper back.

He grabs my arm and we walk into an empty classroom.

"When I was younger I was the weird kid. I liked all the things the other kids didn't, they didn't accept that. Emily by looking at you I can see your perfect and everyone will like you. You don't need to be my friend, I've been fine living my life without any." He says and I grab his hand.

"I want to be your friend. And I will do anything to help you make more."

He shakes his head and starts to walk away, but I grab his arm.

"Shawn. Please."

He nods and sits down.

We ate our lunch in the classroom, talking about anything and everything, I would have never expected a guy like him to be bullied.

I guess you can't judge a book by its cover.
