"God, Mackenzie is so freaking annoying, I hate her so much" I was yelling at Claire
"I know and now because of her we might not be partners" Claire said and looked at me with a sad look on her face
"Don't worry I bet mr Garrison is gonna make us partners, he knows how good we work as a team." I comforted her "There's no need to worry, now let's go and find the others"
*Lunch time*
"Hey Jennie, hey Roni!!" Claire said cheerfully as we saw Veronica and Jennie sitting at a table in the cafeteria, waiting for us
"Hey!!" Jennie greeted us
"Why are you so happy? We're at school. There's literally nothing to be happy for" said Veronica monotonously in a sad way
"What's wrong with you?" I asked her
"There's a new girl in our school. Her name is Kim" she said sadly
"And what's wrong with that?" Claire asked Veronica
"All the boys like her and....and-well Johnny is one of them" she said shyly
"Omg-" I said but then Claire interrupted me
"OMG YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON JOH-" Claire shouted until Veronica put her hand on Clare's mouth in order to stop her from revealing to the whole school about her secret. Claire was left speechless while me and Jennie just kinda knew about it
"Yeah but don't tell anyone or else-" Veronica tried to threaten us but we cut her off
"We won't" we assured her
*After school*
"Y/N...wait!!" Jennie came rushing to me
"Hey, what's up?" I asked her
"I'm so sorry but I cannot drive you home. I have to stay at school till afternoon. They want me to stay here and help for the welcoming party for the freshman's" Jennie told me with a sad look on her face.
"It's ok I'll just walk home. It's not that far, don't worry" I comforted her
"You sure? I mean I can drive you home and then come back-"
"It's okay, I actually need to start exercising and walking home is a good way for me to start. So you're actually doing me a favor"
"Ok then. Guess I'll see you tomorrow"
"Yeah!! Good luck with the party."
"Thanks. Call me when you get home."
"I will." I told her and took my way home.
