I woke up in the morning by my phone being blown up by texts and phone calls from Jennie. Sh*t, I forgot to call her yesterday.
"Hey I'm so sorry I went home and I-" I tried apologizing but she cut me off
"I WAS SO FREAKING WORRIED OVER YOU. I ALMOST HAD A HEART ATTACK" she said in an angry but also relieved way
"I'm soo sorry"
"You better be" she said angrily
"Will you hear me out now?" I asked her
"...yes"
"Soo the "killer" is my new neighbor and yesterday we had a welcoming dinner for them"
"O-M-G"
"Yeah...but now I have to go get ready so I'll tell you everything about it later"
We hang up and I went to get ready. I put my clothes on and then I went downstairs to have my breakfast. I wasn't really on the mood to put any makeup on so I just moisturized my face and wore my hair on a messy bun. As soon as I headed downstairs I saw my mother waiting for me.
"Good morning mum" I greeted her
"Good morning honey! Hurry up and eat your breakfast"
"Why? I still have time till school starts" I replied to her
"Shawn and Aaliyah are waiting for you outside. We don't want to keep them waiting anymore, do we?"
"No but-"
"Karen and I thought that it would be good to have someone with you. You know it's not really safe to be out by yourself. There are a lot of creeps out there."
"Mum I'm not by myself, Jennie comes and picks me up. It's fine, really." I reassured her as I didn't want to go to school with Shawn. I don't want anyone thinking that there is something between us.
"Yeah but Jennie doesn't pick you up every time. Besides, it's not bad to have someone else to go with once in a while"
"...fine"
I ate my breakfast really fast and headed outside closing the door behind me. But because I was hurrying I bumped into something.
"Ouch" I exclaimed
"Is it a habit of yours to always bump at me?" Shawn told me while giving me a hand
"Sorry, I just didn't want to keep you waiting" I said and gave them a big smile
