The way to the school was very awkward. I only had a decent conversation with Aaliyah, Shawn didn't really say anything. For some reason there was tension between Shawn and I.
As soon as we reached the school our ways got separated. Aaliyah waved me goodbye while Shawn just left as quick as possible. And to be honest I don't blame him, I would do the same if it wasn't for Aaliyah.
"Hey girllll" Claire greeted me
"...what do you want?" I replied to her back. She only calls me girllll when she wants something from me.
"So, Tod is having a party and like you know how popular he is so-"
"You want me to come with you?"
"...yes please" she told me while looking at me with puppy eyes "and maybe we can also play truth or dare and force Veronica and Johnny to kiss" she added
"I'm in. As far as I can help those two to get together, I'm in."
"I knew I could convince you into coming with me!! Now let's go, we have chemistry with mr Garrison again"
We headed to the classroom and saw mr Garrison waiting at the entrance.
"Kids, because you're all here early we're gonna start with finding your partners" he told as we took our seats "when you decide who your partner will be, come to my desk so as to note each other's partners" he added
"Who am I gonna be with now that I can't pick you as my partner?" Claire whined
"Literally everyone. There's Tod in the front, go ask him about the party and he may become your partner, you never know." I reassured her
"You're right. Good luck with your mystery partner" she hugged me and went to talk to Tod
"Y/N and Mackenzie, come to the front" mr Garrison told us. Finally I'll get to know who my partner will be for the rest of the year. Who could it be?
"Mackenzie you're gonna be partners with Kim and Y/N you're gonna be partners with Shawn" mr Garrison finally told us. Shawn and I looked at each other still in shock from what we heard.
Everyone took so long to choose a partner that in the end we didn't have any time left to even start our course.
"You were right. Tod asked me to be his partner. Who is your partner?" Claire asked me while heading to the cafeteria
"Shawn" I replied monotonously
"...who's that?"
"The "killer""
"Ohh that sucks"
"I know"
Nothing else strange or exciting happened at school or at the rest of the day. Shawn Aaliyah and I headed at our homes and we didn't speak for the rest of the day. So you could call it a boring day or just a usual day of school.
