Chapter fivteen: That's what friends are for

It's been a week sense I had the baby and a week sense I've been home from the Hospital Sonic just adores his daughter he spend all his free time with her well most of his free time some times he spend his time with just with me or some times with the both of us but most of the time he spend it doing what he does the best and that is running everywhere and anywhere. As of right now me and everyone else is inside the living room while Chris is outside trying to give Sonic his letter that had just came for him. Hey Sonic, a letter came for you! I hear Chris yell out to Sonic but he doesn't stop and just continues running then Chris looks on the front of the letter only to see that it's from the President. Hm? Ah, it's from the President! Chris yelled then he comes back in side then he hands it to grandpa where he reads the letter aloud. "You are cogently invited to a black-tie charity ball. Hm... sounds interesting. grandpa said. It's addressed to Sonic but it says right there that he can bring as many friends as he wants. Chris said as he reads over grandpa's shoulder. Well then in that case, I'll say it's time we dust off our best party duds and make it a day! grandpa said in excitement making everyone else cheer. I bet they'll serve lots of yummy food there... I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! Amy said. Me too! Tails said just as Sonic returns back into the house after his run. I'm back...Sonic said walking into the living room when Chris sees him he all but ran up to Sonic to tell him the news. Hey, Sonic! Guess what? You won't believe it, the President's giving a party and you're invited! Chris all but yelled in Sonic's ear. I am? Sonic asked as he walks up to me and Sky give us each a kiss well for Sky a kiss on the cheek as for me a kiss on the lips. Mmm-hmm, and all of us gets to go, too! It'll be fun. Chris said a bit calm now but still a bit excited. When is this party? Sonic asked as he takes Sky from me and starts to bounce her making her giggle. On Thursday. Chris said. Can't make it. Sonic said. Why can't ya? Chris asked. I promised Helen we'd hang out. Sonic said. Helen? Oh right she's one of Chris's friends from his School you promised you'll take her to that island with all the pretty flowers right? I asked Yeah that's the one and yeah I did she's a friend of mine. Sonic said I didn't know that. Chris said. I met her over at a lake...Started to tell us of how he and Helen had met and of how he had promised

As I was running past the lake when I sees a girl in her wheelchair which is stuck in a mud pit.Oh! I yelled as I then run back over to her and help her get out of the mud pit. Hi there! I said as I pushed her out of mud. Thank you-oh, you're Sonic, aren't you? the girl asked after I had helped her. You've heard of me? I asked quite shocked that she would know me. Of course! the girl said. That's pretty cool! What's your name? I asked. Helen. Helen said. Pleasure to meet ya! I said with a thumbs up and a wink. I come out here a lot I loved to look at that island. she said. That one over there? I asked. Mmm-hmm. My father says it's filled with the most beautiful flowers. All different kinds. He always promises to take me there but... he's always too busy. she said a bit sad. Don't worry. I'm sure he'll take you there one of these days. I said to try and cheer her up but it din't seem to work. I don't know, my dad doesn't seem to have ever enough time for me. I'd go myself but... Helen said trailed off looking down at her wheelchair sadly. You really want to see that island Helen? I asked. Of course I do! she said. Then I'm gonna take ya! I said with a thumbs up and wink. Ah... Helen said in excitement that I was going to take her me and Helen then sealed the promise by linking our pinkies fingers together.

I've promised. Oh, I've got a lot of work to do! I said then I hand Sky over to Kaylee then I run over to Chuck. Hey Chuck, I need some life-jackets and a boat. I said
Check over at the storage room hun. Kaylee said before Chuck could. Thanks honey. I said before I ran over to her give both her and Sky a quick kiss on the cheek then I run out of the house.
