Bent over Jasmine's bed was a creature. It was humanoid in shape and size. It was hairless and blue. It appeared to be dripping with blood. It was bent over the bed and was gripping Jasmine. It turned and began to drag her towards the door. Dívad took a pocket knife from his pocket and ran at it driving it to the hilt into it's back. It kept moving. It was fast, dragging the teenage girl towards the door. It was through the door. It raised her above it's head and over the balustrade of the stairs. The three boys stood paralised in terror, as did Violet, on her bed. It was about to throw Jasmine down three flights of stairs or about six meters to the bottom of the house. She screamed again. Just then Chris took the initiative. He put the middle finger and pointer finger of his right hand together and shouted some strange words which sounded like Japanese. He waved his fingers in a star shape. A blade of light shot from his finger tips and hit the monster. It dropped Jasmine and seemingly disappeared. The boys and Violet ran down the stairs to find Jasmine where she had landed at the base of the stairs.
At about six in the morning the rest of the paranormal club and Dívad and his parents were gathered around an ambulance containing Jasmine. It drove off and they went inside. The remaining members of the paronormal club and Dívad were gathered in the living room. They had agreed to continue the investigation for Dívad and his family's sake. "I guess you know what I specialise in. I am an omnioji. A Japanese exorcist. People used to tease me about it, so I have kept it a secret," said Chris and Dívad nodded.
"Do you think Jasmine will be alright?" Asked Violet.
"If only I had been quicker! I might have saved her!" Said Chris agonizingly.
"It's not your fault, we just have to do our best to get rid of this thing. Speaking of which, how did it disappear? It looked fairly solid to me and David said it's not a ghost, so how did it do it?" Asked Danial.
"I don't know but maybe we should have a look at where it disappeared. It might have left a clue," said Dívad.
"Good thinking. Let's do that," said Chris. The four of them got up and went upstairs. They began to examine the hallway floor and walls. Violet walked along next to the wall banging it with her fist. Chris crawled about on the floor with a magnifying glass. Danial walked beside the balustrade examining the handrail. Dívad followed Chris on the floor although he walked instead of crawling like Chris. Suddenly Violet exclaimed. "What! What is it!" Said Chris excitedly.
"I was banging the wall and this part sounds different like it's hollow or something!" Violet exclaimed. The three boys hurried over. Dívad lightly dragged the point of his pocket knife against the wall until it caught some where. "There's a door here!" He exclaimed. Danial pushed it open and they stared into a shadowy abyss.
"It's down there. Isn't it," whispered Violet.
"Yes," Chris murmured.
"This explains how it disappeared. It went in here. Should we go in and get it?" Asked Danial.
"No. We should plan first," said Chris.
They went downstairs and sat down in the lounge room. For a while there was silence. Everyone was lost in their own thoughts. They stared into space wondering how they could get rid of this thing. At last Chris said "Only Violet and I need to go."
"Why?" Asked Danial.
"Because what we have to do is purify it and then exorcise it," said Chris.
"Oh..." Said Danial "so you don't need me?" He said.
"Well...we might need a protector," said Violet.
"If Danial goes I'm going too!" Said Dívad.
"Are you sure you want to go? It could be dangerous you know," said Chris.
"I've done everything with you guys so far and I want to be in on the finish," said Dívad firmly.
"Ok then. We'll all go. I guess it could be helpful," said Chris. He thought for a moment and they all watched him expectantly. "So...this is what we'll do. Danial and Dívad will go in first and distract it. Violet and I will be just outside the door. Violet will go in then and purify it. Then I'll come in and finish it off!" Said Chris.
"Taking the grand finale all for yourself. Wow Chris!" Said Danial.
"We'll I'm the only one who can," pointed out Chris.
"I guess," said Danial.
"When will we do it?" Asked Dívad.
"Tonight!" Said Chris.
