"It's time," said Chris. The rest of the house was asleep. The four of them crept quietly to where the door was. Dívad lightly pressed his pocket knife point against the wall approximately where he thought the door was. He found the door. As soon as he did, his heart started pounding in his chest. "It's here," he whispered. Chris pushed the door open.
"Turn your torches on," he whispered. There was four clicks as they each turned their torches on. "Here we go," he whispered. They stepped over the threshold and into a long dark passage. The paranormal club had had many cases but all of them had had a scientific explanation. This was their first real paranormal case. Their hearts pounded in their chests and their eyes darted this way and that as they searched for the blue, blood dripping figure. They had got to the end of the passage. They stopped. "Are you two ready?" Asked Chris.
"I hope so," said Danial.
"Seriously?" Said Chris.
"Well, we could die!" Pointed out Danial.
"You chose this," Chris said.
"I guess. Alright, ready Dívad?" Asked Danial.
Dívad took a deep breath. "Yep."
"Here we go!" Said Danial and they plunged into the darkness.
Danial and Dívad stepped over the threshold. They looked about. Pointing the beams of the torches here and there. "Maybe it's not here," breathed Dívad. And then they saw it. Two gleaming red pinpricks in the darkness. It stood up and moved towards them. It looked even more hideous in the torchlight than it did it the down lights of the house. The dripping blood gleamed in the torchlight reflecting into their eyes. The dark blue skin half melted into the darkness. Now that they were up close they could see the rotten uneven teeth showing in a ghastly grin in its head. Then it lunged forward trying to grab them. They darted to the side and it turned. It was about to grab them when Danial said as loud as he dared. "Now, Violet now!"
At the same time Violet and Chris were waiting on either side of the door. It was an agonizingly long wait. Violet said "I hope nothing happens to them."
"Don't worry they'll be alright," Chris said. About two minutes later, although it felt like twenty, they heard Danial say "Now, Violet now!"
"Go! I'll come in a minute!" Said Chris. Giving her a push. Violet ran in. She held her palm out towards the ghastly figure, took a string of prayer beads from around her neck and chanted something in another language. She did this several times. "Chris!" She called. Chris hurried into the room. Again he put his middle and pointer fingers together and shouted the Japanese words drawing a star in mid air. There was a blinding flash of light. When it disappeared the four them saw in the monsters place a pile of bones on the floor.
