Nova POV

I awoke as the sun was setting, the alpha king beside me still asleep.

The marathon of sex we participated in left my body aching and hungry.

Luckily the man had decided that it would be wise to get us both bathed before we fell to slumber.

So. I rose from the bed, snapping my fingers so I was dressed, hair cascading down my back in spiraling curls, raven feathers following the flow of the strands.

My dress fluttered around me as I departed rhe room, walking the direction we had originally come from and snapping my fingers at the first wolf maid I saw, "you."

She practically jumped from her skin, eyes wide, "yes?"

"Where is there food?"

"Food?" She repeatedly lamely.

"Yes. Sustenance."

"I can fetch you and the-"

"No. I wish to walk. So where?"

She stammered out instructions to the dining hall and I continued on my way, examining the grandiose palace.

I much prefer my home. This place is horribly bright.

The dining hall was no better.

Candles everywhere gilded furnishing and bright tapestries, "honestly," i sighed out, "this is entirely too much."

I ignored the fact that the room grew utterly silently as I walked through it, all eyes on me.

Instead I stepped up to the table where I saw Sebastians beta, plucking a slice of bread from it as I gazed over the room, "I need not introduce myself once more, I see you are primarily the same wolves."

"Miss Nivara." Mason began as he stood, "what brings you here."

"Food." I stated bluntly, "obviously. I find your alpha to be excellent but he tends to work up an appetite, what is that?" I pointed to a strange pink thing in the center of the table.

"It is a cake."

"It is pink." I noted with distaste.

"Strawberries cause the color."

"I see." I murmured, "strange. Very bright. What is it that tastes good here?"

"Are you bringing food back to the alpha?" He questioned.

My gaze flickered to him, "He is capable of feeding himself." I gestured to a man across from the beta, "move."

He did, bewildered.

I let out a low hiss as I sat.

Mason slowly sank into his chair as I picked at morsels of food, "are you well miss Nivara?"

"If you must know, a decent portion of my body aches. What sort of meat is this?"

"Pheasant. Theres also pork and turkey."

"Good good did your staff save the eyes of the beasts?"

"No.." he began, "do you..eat those?"

I blinked a him, "why on earth would I eat that? Spell ingredients are to be takes care of not eaten."

"Right..right."

I took a tiny bite of Pheasant, "this needs sage."

"Sorry?"

I waved him off, spinning the Pheasant dish, the smell of freshly cooked meat and sage permeating the air, "better, now when is my trip to temple?"

"Your trip to temple?"

"Yes."

"Nova thats if you make an effort other than sex."

"I made that ridiculous speech."

"That's hardly effort, effort takes more than a few hours."

I stared at him, "you mean for me to stay? Here? In this horrendously ugly place?"

"Ugly?"

"There are no bones very little iron and your candles here," I pointed at one, "are beeswax. Beeswax."

"You can stay in the dungeon if you would like Noviana." Sebastians voice rang from the doorway.

I laughed lightly, "oh what a delightful quip. But I grow bored of this and I had already placed a backup plan incase this did not go as I desired."

Sebastian Slowly made his way toward me, gaze narrowed, "did you now?"

"Yes." My gaze pinned Masons, "a baby can only survive in the womb so long after it is due." The two men sucked in a sharp breath, "and I do not take slight well so I placed a simple bit of insurance within the womb of a lovely woman by the name of Veronica."

Sebastian, gripped my chin forcing me to face him, "this is not a game Noviana."

I was utterly unimpressed, "I do not play games Sebastian. I do however win the ones I come across." I pulled from his grip, "is there tea? I would like to read my leaves."

"You." Mason growled, "you did this to Ronny?"

"Yes." I hummed, "shall we go to temple today?"

"Temple?" Sebastian asked, still sounding very much like a growl.

"Oh yes that was our bargain. Now I get to explore the temple of Luna. Perhaps the good will there will enact the babies birth."

Sebastian snarled at Mason, "YOU AGREED TO ALLOW HER IN THE TEMPLE OF LUNA?!"

Mason was busy snarling at me, "YOU ARE KILLING MY MATE AND MY PUP FOR YOUR OWN WICKED DESIRES?!"

I ignored the two aggressive wolf men, tasting the Pheasant, "oh yes this is much better."
