"All right, what should I do with you, princess?" Sinbad asked to Serendine with a smirk.
Serendine was currently in a barrel on the boat and shouting at the top of her lungs.
"Just please don't hurt her," Crystal timidly whispered.
"Hmm?" He couldn't hear what this girl was saying, though he saw her mouth moving.
"Don't hurt her. She's really a kind person."
Seeing this person have so much compassion for someone she barely knew really sparked Sinbad's admiration for Crystal.
Sinbad leaned in closer to Crystal and whispered, "Don't worry. I would never hurt her without reason." With those words, Sinbad gained Crystal's temporary trust.
Crystal looked up and smiled, catching Sinbad off guard. She looks gorgeous.
He threw Serendine, barrel and all, into the ocean. Crystal's smile faded and she tore herself from Sinbad's gaze. She reached out and tried to grab the barrel, nearly falling off the boat.
Sinbad grabbed her shoulders, pulled her back, and leaned in close once again. His warm breath hit Crystal's ear as he spoke, and it gave her chills.
"It's okay, her guards are following right behind us to find her. She won't sink in that wooden barrel, so it'll be okay." His voice was velvety and smooth and he had the confident smile to back it up.
Crystal nodded and turned her head to Serendine, who was slowly drifting away from the boat.
"It's gonna be all right! Your people and friends are going to be coming soon!" She yelled.
The Venom Princess looked trustingly at Crystal and nodded. They smiled at one another, like they have known each other forever.
Serendine was rescued, but by the time she was, Crystal and Sinbad were way beyond the border of the bay.
They were sailing the deep blue waters so deep and blue that Crystal could see her own reflection when she looked down.
"So...what's your name?" the purple-haired man asked.
"Crystal," she responded, "What's yours?"
"Sinbad."
"Why were you and Serendine fighting?"
"Well, that takes quite a bit of explaining to do," he awkwardly chuckled out.
"I'm here to listen."
So Sinbad told Crystal the whole story of how he entered the dungeon of the Djiin Baal and how he captured it. He even showed her the eight star symbol on his sword and made it glow bright blue.
"Wow, that's so amazing!" Crystal exclaimed. The glow echoing off the sword made a warm glisten in her eyes. It made her beauty all the more mesmerizing in Sinbad's eyes. He could stare at her all day. But he couldn't leave his sword glowing forever, nor would Baal appreciate how foolish he was acting.
He pulled the sword back in its sheath.
"Where are we going anyway, Sinbad?"
"I have no idea."
Crystal smiled brightly, then started to giggle. Her laughing was soon joined by Sinbad. Even though they had only recently met, he felt so at ease with her. Like he could confide anything to her.
"Where did you come from?" he asked. He genuinely wanted to know.
Crystal stopped laughing and looked at him with confusion.
