So, what happened to Hermione Granger? At this point in the story we know she was Voldemort's prisoner, and then we saw a glimpse of the much distant future where she is the leader of the death eaters after Voldemort's demise. So, what happened between these two events? How could Hermione Granger, member of the golden trio, Gryffindor prefect, turn to the dark side? Well let's find out, shall we? We pick up where Draco pulled the death eater off of Hermione. As you will recall, he just hit him with a death curse.....

"Avada Kedavra". Draco was looking down at the death eater he had just killed. He wasn't sure what to do next, he had never killed anyone before.

He knew that if he hadn't the death eater would have told the others what he did, and he and Hermione would both be punished. Draco, for killing a death eater, and Hermione just as an added punishment for Draco because they would know he did it to help her.

Voldemort had no tolerance for sympathy towards mudbloods. Especially one that was so close to Harry Potter.

Hermione looked down at the bloody and disfigured death eater, but it wasn't repulsion that she felt, it was intrigue. He had tried to take here power away from her, and now he laid dead on the floor.

She found herself hopeful that her dreams of retribution could actually be a possibility, and Draco could be the key to helping her do it. She saw how far he was willing to go for her, what's to say he wouldn't do it again? Her mind was racing so hard, she didn't even realize he was studying her reaction.

"Are you okay?" he asked her, looking at the strange expression on her face as she stared down at the body. She pulled herself back from her thoughts and realized she was still naked. She also realized Draco was looking at the red mark on her abdomen where she had gotten hit.

She quickly grabbed her clothes and got dressed again. "Thanks to you, yes. What are we going to do with him?" she said pointing at the bloody mess on the floor. "We need to get rid of him, Voldemort will just assume he couldn't take the pressure and went AWOL. No one knows he came down here."

"Are you sure about that?" Hermione asked in a panicked voice. "What if someone saw him come down here, and then saw you? They will know you had something to do with it."

"No, no one knows he's here. Voldemort expects us to be working and taking care of The Order, not messing around in the dungeons."

He paused for a moment, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that, that came out wrong." Hermione shook her head, "Don't worry about it. Let's just take care of this". Draco took the death eater's wand and used it to levitate the body. "I will take him outside and bury him by the creek. Then I'll destroy the wand so it won't be traceable."

Draco proceeded to remove the body from the dungeon. As he was about to pass a guard outside, he stupefied him. When he returned he obliviated the guard's memory. He got back into Hermione's cell and slumped down on the floor where she was sitting. He didn't say anything, he just rested his hand on hers. "Don't leave yet, stay with me," she said. So, he rested his head back against the wall.

"How did it feel?" she asked, turning her head to Draco. "How did what feel?" Hermione chewed her lip for a second, "Killing a man like that, with your bare hands? Did it help?"

"Help what, Granger?" he said looking at her now. "The anger you feel in your soul. Did it help?" Draco wasn't sure exactly what she was asking. "Seeing him hurt you like that made me angry, yes. If you are asking how I felt about killing him, I don't regret it, he deserved it."

"Why would seeing me hurt anger you?" she asked narrowing her eyes a little. "Why are you asking me how it felt to kill a man?" he sighed.

"Because, next time I want to do it." He looked at her not knowing if she was serious or not, but her eyes told him she was.
