A few months had passed when things started to settle back down at the Manor after the murder of the Grangers.
Hermione however, refused to come out of her room. She went from being in mourning to pure rage.
She had lost her temper when the ministry police reported that no one had seen Bill yet.
She refused to talk to anyone and would only see Scorpius. Even Draco wasn't allowed into their bedroom.
Hermione knew he had tried, but she was still angry.
One night he had gotten tired of sleeping on the couch in his study, and he kicked down the door.
Lucille happened to be walking down the hall when she nearly died of fright as Draco was sent flying backwards out the room and slammed into the wall.
"I said Fuck off!" a voice rang out from the bedroom.
Lucille went to go help Draco up, but he brushed her off angrily and stormed out of the manor.
Lucille looked at the door that was hanging off its hinges where Draco had kicked it down, and she saw Hermione sitting up on the bed with her knees pulled into her face.
"Would you like me to fix the door?"
Hermione looked up at Lucille and nodded. Lucille withdrew her wand and the door and its hinges floated back into place.
Once it was fixed she continued down the hall. She had been on her way to discuss the servant schedule with Narcissa when she was nearly hit with a flying Draco.
Lucille told Narcissa what she had seen, and that she was concerned. Narcissa laughed, "She is a Malfoy woman, that is what we do. I can't tell you how many times Lucius was on the wrong end of my wand and regretted it. They will be okay, it is simply a lover's quarrel."
She continued to go over the schedule with Lucille, and finalized it before telling Lucille she could post it in the kitchen. Before Lucille left, Narcissa stopped her, "did my son leave the manor?"
"Yes Mrs. Malfoy, I heard the front door slam." Narcissa rubbed her temple, "I hope that boy doesn't do anything stupid." Lucille nodded and then went to post the schedule in the kitchen.
Draco got Theo and Blaise and a couple other of the guys, and went out drinking to blow off some steam.
"How is she?" Blaise said as he took a shot of tequila.
Draco looked at him with an expression that said 'Don't ask', and he took down a shot.
"That bad, huh?" he said as he took another. Draco indicated to the bartender to refill their shots and he continued to slam them down.
"Drink up fellas, I have no plans to go back there tonight, she wants to throw me from my own room, then fuck it, I'm not about to go crawling back on my hands and knees."
"Damn, she did that?" said Theo as he and Blaise exchanged a look that Draco didn't see.
"She is impossible. There is no woman on earth as stubborn and infuriating as Hermione fucking Granger," Draco said as his words began to slur, "why did I have to fall in love with such a difficult and hateful woman?"
The guys laughed, and Blaise spoke up, "because otherwise you would have gotten bored. Admit it, you love it when she pulls out those claws of hers."
"True," said Theo, "I remember the look you had on your face when she punched you. Anyone else would have been pissed, but you just looked at her with intrigue when she trotted off with Potter and Weasley."
