Jonathan was always the kid who wouldn't party, sit in the back of the class working on something else, the kid who gets picked on by the so called 'cool kids'.
You, on the other hand, were a cheerful soul stuck in the wrong place. You loved helping people and spreading happiness.
You would babysit this kid called 'Will' which turned out to be Jonathan's little brother. You could say you guys are pretty close, if the word close meant awkward.
Life was going pretty smoothly, until the whole 'demogorgons' incident.

It was traumatizing, to say the least.

During that period, hundreds of people were killed right infront of your eyes. It was everyman for themselves.

Another attack had occurred and you heard that the gang were in there with Jonathan and Steve. Not knowing how, you ended up finding yourself starting a car getting ready to go and help Jonathan- I mean the kids.

That was when you started having a little crush on Jonathan.

Oh who am I kidding you were head over heels for Jonathan. You thought of confessing, but you just didn't have the guts to do so.

Until one day, a little someone had finally gathered the courage to do so.

" I just don't know how to do it! Any other guys can do it since they are cool and popular. The only reason why she ever spoke to me was because she babysits my younger brother!" Yelled out Jonathan in frustration.

"You shouldn't think so lowly of yourself, y/n is a very nice person and she wouldn't play with someone like that," Nancy pauses think of a something to comfort Jonathan. "Being popular doesn't mean that everybody will love you, it all depends on what inside here." She said while pointing to her heart.

"But if i ever did confess, how would I do it?? What do girls like??" Nancy giggled. "Girls like it when you are honest. Tell her how you feel around her, how your heart races when you guys interact. Don't forget to throw some compliments on there."

Jonathan sighed, "Thank you Nancy. I appreciate it." "It was nothing, now go get em' tiger!"

You were currently in Jonathan's house trying to comfort Joyce. You looked up to her. When will went missing, she did everything in her power to find her lost son.

"I'm going to go make you some tea, I heard that helps you to relax," I suggested to Joyce. "That would be lovely y/n," she paused. "I'm really thankful for you y/n, if you weren't here to comfort me I can't even imagine what would have happened to me."

"It was my pleasure." I started walking to kitchen until I hear Joyce's voice again. "I really wouldn't mind Jonathan dating you, you would be the perfect daughter-in-law."

Daughter-in-law?? "I-I don't think Jonathan thinks of me as more than a classmate." "Oh how oblivious you are, don't you notice how he starts to stutter whenever you're around him, or how he always asks if you're okay and completely ignores the others."

Jonathan likes me? Sounds to good to be true, but I can't help but to notice the feeling of butterflies in my stomach. Great, now I'm blushing.

"W-Well, uhm I'll be in the kitchen making your tea. Call me if you need anything." I said as hurriedly ran to the kitchen before doing anything stupid. While I was trying to calm down, I didn't notice the Jonathan had entered the kitchen.
