On the road

He was gone now and I head back inside to get my things ready. I was going insane without the help of my best friend, so I have into humiliation and called her to invite her over. She was kind of irritated that I called so late but she said she would come over anyway. Her name is Marcia and she is always there when I need her most (like tonight for example)

I heard a knock at the door and knew it was her. As I invite her inside I start to tell her everything, and of course she thinks that I'm completely delusional, but she tried her best to go along (even though I can see right through her).

"Well even though you're just pretending to believe me, thank you." I said to her. She responded saying, "You're welcome, it's what I am here for, plus if you are telling the truth and you're not crazy, I get to meet 5sos!!" We spent a good 2 and a half hours getting everything together, and we weren't even close to half way done! I knew it was going to be a long night, but damn! We took a break and got something to snack on before we got back to work. It was almost 2am by the time we had finished!

"You're room is a mess from everything, so I suggest we sleep out in the living room tonight," Marcia explained to me. I agreed and gathered blankets and pillows and we slept in the living room. it felt as if I only had five minutes of sleep when I hear Marcia shouting my name to get me to wake up.

"McKensi! Wake up! Ashton texted you and he said they will be here in just a few hours, so get up and get ready!" I jolted up out of my slumber when she said that and went into a panic. it was like getting ready for the date, only more intimidating because I'm going to be meeting everyone else as well! yes it will be the second time, but this time personally and I need to make a great impression or else they would never approve of me.

I took a shower (rinsed and repeated at least 3 times), and threw on what I had left out last night for me to wear because I didn't want to dig through all my bags to look for something in the morning. I left my hair straight and did my makeup very, very subtle because I didn't want them to think I was a clown. after I got my appearance ready, Marcia helped me bring all five I my bags downstairs and in the living room ready for me to leave once they got here.

"McKensi Smith you better not be pranking me right now because if you are in going to be pissed at you for the rest of our lives, tell me now, am I really about to meet 5sos?!" she asked anxiously.

"Marcia, you disappoint me. Tell me, in all the time we have known each other, our whole lives, how many times have I lied to you about something this extreme?" She had no answer, she kind of just stared in awe before letting out the biggest squeal I have get heard leave her body, and I just sat there laughing at her.

Just moments later the doorbell had rung, and we both turned to face the door in awe as if we had never heard a doorbell before. It was Ashton. He greeted me with a light soft peck, and then I introduced him to Marcia and I told him how big of a fan she was and he smiled and hugged her, she just stood there motionless, like a statue, and I couldn't help but make fun of her. She and I said our goodbyes after she had helped me with my bags. As we drove off I could see tears well up in her eyes, she waved until she could no longer see us.

Inside the bus stood Michael, Luke, Calum, and of course Ashton who formally introduced me to the boys. Michael turned to Ashton and whispered in his ear, little did he know I had heard what he said, "wow Ash, good pick!" I giggled once I heard him, I am terrible at keeping straight faces when it comes to this kind of thing. Ashton walked over to me and said, "I almost forgot, this is Kayla, she is Michael's girlfriend and she is a riot!" She just waved from where she was sitting and said, "it's so nice to finally meet you, Ashton wouldn't shut up about you all night, I feel like I already know you." I looked up at him and he was blushing as he ran his fingers through his hair. I never noticed how much taller he was than me, a while foot taller it seemed. he took me back to show me the bunks and assigned me to my own, where I set my bags for now.

I loved how everyone was so nice and inviting to me, they made me so comfortable and made me feel at ease with everything. I'm surprised I haven't fangirled like Marcia did yet. Maybe because they made me feel so at home. As I walk out to the front of the bus where everyone was, Ashton was talking about how people have already spotted the two I us together and how someone managed to sneak a photo of us kissing outside my house last night. Photos of us were everywhere, and then all of a sudden my Twitter started blowing up with people sending hate tweets and other people sending lie tweets, it was all so strange to me but Ashton seemed to be able to brush it of his shoulder, but he walked over to me and said, "hey, please tell me these mean tweets won't get to you, I really don't want your life to suck because of me, because if so then mine would just be a wreck." I had never seen a more concerning look on anyone's face before, it seemed as if he felt bad because of it all. I looked at him and said, "Ashton, these people don't even know me, I don't know them, half of these people I probably will never even see. What these people are saying is just out of jealousy, and when girls are jealous of other girls it either means it's because the other person is prettier than them or that the other person has something they know they can't have. No matter how mean or cruel they are to me, it is a compliment that I will be honored to take." All he could do was look at me with a look I had never seen before, and I enjoyed it. After moments of him staring, he put one hand on the back of my head and the other around my waist, pulling me in for a very passionate kiss that seemed to last for an hour but only lasted a minute. After he was done kissing my lips, he looked at me and then kissed my forehead and said to me, "that was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard a woman say."

A few days passed of us just being on the road, before Ashton getting a strange phone call. He seemed bewildered at the fact this mystery person called him, happy yet pissed off at the same time. Once he was off the phone he whispered something to the rest of the boys that I didn't quite hear, but the looks on their faces, the reactions they had, left an unsettling feeling in my stomach. The worst part was when Ashton turned to me with a frightened look, my stomach turned even more.

For the next couple of weeks he kept getting these phone calls, each one lasted longer, and then longer. He had the rest of the boys and myself worried, but he seemed I little weary, yet more at ease with the person calling him. Yet some times I could hear him get angry with the person on the other line and he would sometimes scream at this person. I couldn't help but think it was an ex girlfriend by the things I heard him say, I was almost certain.

Tonight was the night of their concert in Belgium, and they performed amazing, it was the best performance yet! after the concert I ran and jumped into Ashton's arms, telling him how great the show was, and how proud I was of him and how I couldn't believe that I was there to experience it with him. Soon after, his phone had rung, he looked at it, then me then his phone again, this time walking to the other side of the room. I had forgotten all about this mystery person due to the amazing show, and now I wanted to cry. I guess Calum noticed something was wrong because he walked up time and started rubbing my back. I turned to him, knowing he knew who Ashton was constantly talking to on that phone, and I asked him, "Calum, I know you know who Ashton is talking to, I saw your reaction when they first started talking, I have heard some things he says to that person on the other line and I need to know, who is he talking to?" He kind of just stood there, not saying anything, until finally he said, "Her name is Celeste. A few years ago, right around the time we started becoming popular they dated. She only wanted to be with him because of his newfound fame, but he refused to believe it. She was a terrible person and she isn't good for anyone. I hear him always defending your relationship while talking to her, which worries me about why she started calling out of the blue as soon as you two were a thing."
