A Love Almost Lost

The Ex Girlfriend

After hearing Calum tell me this, I didn't know how to react. The boys went out for the night while Kayla and I stayed behind to the hotel. She had been romantically involved with Michael for 4 years now and has been with the boys on tour since they were with One Direction during the Take Me Home Tour. She knows the most about the boys and she would be the perfect person to talk to.

"Kayla, can we talk please?" She opened her mouth as if she was about to say sure, when we heard a knock at the hotel door. I walked over to look out the peek hole and I see a pretty brunette girl with braces who looked to be about 14 years old, her features strangely familiar. I then remembered my first date with Ashton and how we talked about how much he loved his family and how he holds his little sister closer to his heart than any other family member of his. It was his sister! I let her inside, she was so pretty, and was sadly a bit taller than me despite me being five years older.

"Hi, I am Ashton's sister, Jenny Irwin." She reached her hand out to shake mine, as we exchanged hand shakes she explained to me why she was here, "Ashton talks about you every time we speak and he seems like he really cares for you, and so I decided to come here while they have a day off to meet you!" With that said she released my hand and said hi to Kayla, the obviously we're close. After what seemed like a greeting that had lasted forever, Kayla turned to me and asked me what I wanted to talk to her about. I kind of paused, looking at Kayla and then at Jenny, and then back to Kayla. Should I talk about this with Kayla AND Jenny? would this be a good idea? Maybe she would be a better person to talk to being the closest person, besides me, to Ashton.

"Actually, now that Jenny is here, I want to talk to both of you."

"What about?" the both said simultaneously looking at me.

"Kayla, you know who he has been talking to on the phone, and don't try to say anything otherwise because I already know, Calum told me. Don't sugar coat anything or I WILL hurt you. Should I be worried?" She just sat there, staring at me with a look on her face that did worry me.

I turned to his sister Jenny and asked her if she knew anything about an ex girlfriend named Celeste. She just looked at me and said, "make sure she knows he is yours, because if you don't, you're in trouble." The words, you're in trouble kept playing through my head.
