"Go, Clawd!" Draculaura yelled as she spun through the air. Her arms were held close to her chest in an x, her short skirt brushing upwards and showing her spandex with a bright smile on her flushed face. She spun once, twice, three times, before falling into the cradle the rest of the squad had made with their arms, huffing a bit at the harsh landing. She quickly slid out of the basket, that grin back on her face as she began cheering with Frankie on the track that circled the field.

"This is so exciting!" Frankie grinned next to her, her hair sparking lightly in excitement.

"Super exciting," Draculaura agreed, her face flushed to be even more pink than usual, and that broad grin refusing to leave from her lips as she turned towards Frankie who was simply relieved that her beast friend was talking to her again.

"You think we'll win?" Frankie asks, watching as Draculaura's eyes are riveted on the current play, or rather, the werewolf that was currently sprinting down the sidelines.

She nods, her eyes not leaving Clawd's form, "Definitely," she breathes.

Frankie raises an eyebrow. "So," she drawls, catching Draculaura attention, "I noticed that you were wearing Clawd's jacket when you got here."

Draculaura was glad she was already flushed, for a bright pink blush would've given her away if not for it. She spoke lightly, nonchalantly, as she turned, grabbing her water bottle from under the metal bench, "Oh yeah, he lent it to me today. Just didn't want to forget to give it back, you know?"

"Hmm. . ." Frankie hummed, crossing her arms and looking at her with a face that said she wasn't buying a single word the girl said.

"So, it doesn't have anything to do with him taking you on a date?"

Draculaura stilled, but only for a moment, quickly gaining her bearings as she turned to Frankie again, who looked at her calculatingly. "What are you talking about? I'm not going on a date with Clawd. I told you that'd never happen."

"So the diner thing isn't a date?"

"How do you even know about that?" Draculaura rubbed sweaty palms on her cheerleading skirt.

Frankie smirked, "I heard you tell Lagoona."

"Eavesdropper."

"And proud of it, now spill."

Draculaura huffed, her bottom lip pouting outwards as she sat down heavily on the bench. "Nothing even happened," her voice came out as a whine. "He just wants to hang out."

"And so he gave you his varsity jacket?"

Draculaura crossed her arms defensively. "He saw I was cold."

"Mhmm . . ."

"St-Stop that!"

Frankie raised an eyebrow, "Stop what?"

Draculaura pointed her finger at her accusingly. "That-That insinuating hum you keep doing. Stop it, nothing's happening between me and Clawd."

"Okay," Frankie said airily, "keep telling yourself that."

A noise of protest bubbled up her throat as Frankie promptly spun on the heel of her worn sneaker and began walking away. "H-Hey," Draculaura stood up, "nothing's happening!" She shouts to Frankie whose stride doesn't falter as she sends a dismissive wave to the vampire over her shoulder. Draculaura huffs and crosses her arms over her chest as she turns back towards the game.

"Nothing is happening," she mutters under her breath, as if trying to convince herself. "Clawd just wants to catch up is all. He doesn't like me that way- he couldn't." But as she looks up at that moment she meets Clawd's eyes which crinkle up at the corners as he gives her a smile and a tiny wave behind his helmet. That warm feeling flows through her limbs and she can't help as the shy grin grows on her face and she flutters her fingers at him. His smile grows, but he has to look away as he moves to start the next play and she lets out a woosh of air, slumping over as his eyes leave hers.
