Scarlet was twenty two now and there was nothing in her life that could make her happier. She lived on her Grandmère's farm with the love of her life and had the best group of friends she could ask for, but it had been two years since her marriage to Wolf and there was only one thing she wanted more than any other. Children. She had dreamed of angelic little faces staring up at her with her husband's magnificent green eyes and her dusting of freckles. She had tried to bring it up with Wolf but he shied away every time. This morning, she was going to have a proper conversation about this.

Waking up early as usual, wrapped in Wolfs arms, his torso was radiating heat, or was that just her nerves talking? No matter. She had to get up and feed the unusually hungry chickens before breakfast anyway.

Standing in the cold morning air, little brown hens pecking at her feet, Scarlets' curly red hair was tied back in a messy bun and the usual hoodie around her waist. She had time to mull over what she was going to say.

No.

She wasn't asking her first boyfriend out on a date and repeating what she was going to say in front of a bathroom mirror. This was her husband. As he said, she'll always be the only one.

She was going to muster up the courage to ask him about their futur. She loved Wolf with all her being, to the moon and back along with all the stars in the galaxy. They both deserved a child, if not for her, but for him too.
